So at the moment, it looks like our lineup for next season could look something like:
------------Carrasso-------------
-------Givet-------Rodriguez------
Beye------------------------Taiwo
----------Cana----Cheyrou--------
--------------Nasri----------------
-----Valbuena-------Niang---------
--------------Cisse----------------
That's not bad. It really puts a lot of pressure on the fullbacks to get up and down the flanks, and it really requires a lot of covering from the defensive midfielders.
That's possible to change Valbuena with Giuly and maybe Niang with another FW.
So it could be :
------------Carrasso-------------
-------Givet-------Rodriguez------
Beye------------------------Taiwo
----------Cana----Cheyrou--------
Giuly--------------------------Nasri
---------Niang(?)------------------
-----------------Cisse-------------

There's no need for a change in system. Now that Ribery has gone away, Marseille should build their team around Nasri and a 4-2-3-1 is the best formation to utilize his playmaking skills.

I hope not to see Giuly at l'om.
He have had a few number of matches at Barca this season. Plus, he's 31 years old.

So far I like OM's strategy in the mercato. They seem to be building a solid team with proven Ligue 1 veterans. Also Cheyrou, Givet and Bonnart were all captains of their teams. I think this will do wonders for the chemistry of the team. This solid base will allow for Nasri and Valbuena to really have freedom on the offensive half.
That said, I think Giuly has a few years left in him yet. Ziani would be a nice pick up as well.

Barcelona will let Giuly go for a fee of 6 million euros. Sounds reasonable.

In other news, Marseille had made an offer of 4 million euros for the services of Ziani but Sochaux president was quick to decline saying that it's only worth the player's leg (). He wants 13 million.

Does anyone think we should go after Valenciennes' Charles Savidan? He did score 15 gls. or so this season; or did someone snatch him up already?

I don't think he has a whole lot to offer and he turns 29 next week. Keeping Cisse and Pagis would be a better idea.

Nice signings by Marseille Gael Givet from Monaco and Laurent Bonnart from Le Mans. Also Marseille is very close to signing LYdovik Xhyli. I hope they take care of Cisse issue ASAP.

Is that how "Ludovic Giuly" is written in Albanian?

Garry Bocaly has been sent on loan to L2 side Libourne St-Seurin. Barring any new signings, Ronald Zubar should assume the role of deputy right back next season.

And Maoulida is probably going out.
About my pitch tactics,we could stay with 4-2-3-1 if we buy another OMF.I like Niang but playing with him at this point at UCL...I don't like this idea. And Valbuena is a very good player, but he needs more rhythm I think.

Yes Sir with the French pronounciation. It would be Giuly in English.

Sable could be the sixth signing of Marseille this summer after Faty, Gragnic, Cheyrou, Bonnart, and Givet. You guys sure are busy.

Lens: Martel wants Pagis! (25/06/2007)
The Voice of the Sports announces this morning that Mickael Pagis (33 years, 37 matches this season, 8 goals) could unload well with the RC Lens the next season if the final transfer of Djibril Cissé to the OM had been suddenly confirmed. The framing Blood and Gold would indeed énormement assess the qualities of the Olympian attacker, which would not be a priori against a new adventure. Response in the days to come... OM: RLD could intervene for Cissé (25/06/2007)
Robert Louis-Dreyfus could once again put the hand at the wallet in order to preserve Djibril Cissé (25 years, 21 matches in L1 this season, 8 goals) on Canebière. Present in the Rhone delta the week spent for his lawsuit in call, the Marseilles business leader would have indicated that it was laid out to make a financial effort for the international tricolour one, also tracked by Atletico Madrid and Bolton. Confirmed information with half words by Diouf Pope in the columns of Provence: "he did not say that to me also formally. But it is true, we will go possible further: Djibril remains our priority ". An appointment would have been taken right now with the manager of Liverpool Rick Parry for this Wednesday. (By Romain Degrange)

Ziani should sign a four-year contract this week. OM and Sochaux have almost reached an agreement.
