we understand the disagreement, but what we are saying is that you two should either take it to the rivalries board or pms, not the marseille transfer thread, and this is not an attack, just some advice.
oh, yeah that is the last i had heard about cisse. i just don't want madrid to take nasri away. he and cisse i want at om next year. simic wouldn't be bad either.
also, are there any other plans for the ribery money than to spend some on cisse?

Marseille will be making an offer for Sochaux midfielder Karim Ziani, since he's much more affordable than Giuly.

well, i suppose we should feel honored by your interest in our quaint little backwater, but it's annoying to see decorum fly out the window the minute someone from one of the "big" boards comes in the door. you see, we try to be gentlemen here; give it whirl yourself, and you'll find it's much more interesting than playing bart and lisa!

Rumor has it that Habib Beye is a target for Newcastle.

St-Etienne captain Julien Sable is very close to joining Marseille. Shrewd move. He'll make a very good partner of Cana in the midfield.

Not bad. He seems a good player to me, although he's not quite the name player some of us would have had in mind.

According to Le Parisien, Marseille and Giuly are currently in negotiations over a three-year contract and very close to an agreement!

Well Giuly WANTS to come to OM and actually has respect and admiration for the tradition and and fans of the club so thats how they are able to get him. A guy who doesnt care about that stuff and only cares about money(Ribery)those guys you dont want on your team.

I think if Marseille's squad has an overhaul (getting Giuly, Edmilson, Sable, Ziani, Cheyrou, and getting rid of excess "fat" like Maoulida, Carrasso, etc), next year will be very interesting.
I don't think the club is ready to beat out Lyon over the course of the season, but I don't think there will be any more huge point gaps over first and second, nor will the title be decided by October.
Ligue 1 could become credible again.

Edmilson? Link?
There's no need for both him and Sable. They both play the same position as Cana.

Don't be too idealistic. Giuly would rather stay at Barcelona if he could, and his other offers aren't that great (Lazio, Fenerbahce). Last month, he said he didn't want to return to France. But he's a professional, and he sees that of all the clubs interested in him at the moment, he can help Marseille the most, and vice versa. Plus he will get CL football and play in a great atmosphere.

I think the plan here is to pair him up with Rodriguez (or Zubar) in the heart of the defense. Edmilson can play as a center back, too.

Lazio and Fenerbache could probably pay him more but he doesnt want to go there.
