Cana just extended his contract with Marseille until 2012 so all those rumors goin around with Arsenal and AC Milan can rest for a while.

Roque Santa Cruz was propsed but rejected because of too high wages.

If you can somehow get him for a lower cost and keep Cisse, Ribery, Nasri. Taiwo, etc. well then you have the makings of a pretty good team I think and starting to build something special.

Bayern just threw him in out there so that they might be able to get Ribery at a lower price. So I don't think that'll happen.

I've heard nothing about that - and God I know all the Internet rumors... - but sure he's an excellent player and would be easily starter in these teams ! Plus, PSG has no right winger and Marseille could transfer Maoulida.

I guess all that CL talk means nothing Bilal!

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/04062007/58/bundesliga-ribery-set-join-bayern.html

The French international will leave Marseille for a fee of around £16 million (25 million euros), with the German club beating Real Madrid, Arsenal and Lyon in the race for his signature.

"We are not far from a total agreement. The financial agreement has been reached with Marseille, not much is missing," said Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Ribery had said that his future at Marseille would depend on the club reaching the Champions League. The south coast side achieved the goal, while Bayern missed out, finishing fourth in a disastrous campaign by their standards.

Nevertheless, a transfer seems certain and the winger told Eurosport that he would wait until after Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Lithuania before making a decision.

However, he said the absence of Champions League football "is not a problem. Bayern are a big club, so too Real Madrid."

Ribery is one of the hottest properties in European football and certainly the French Ligue 1's leading asset.

He came to global prominence at last summer's World Cup, where he was one of Les Bleus' top performers as they defied pre-tournament predictions to reach the final.

I hate the fact he is leaving for a team not in the Champions League. Bayern are a huge club but Ribery made such a big deal over CL qualification it is now a kick in the face.

suppose the $$$ does all the talking, reports saying he getting 300,000 Euro a month in wages.
