One more question; it seams that you know a lot about Lorik Cana, is any way that you can watch OM games in US?
The only channels i know of in the states that show ligue 1 games is setanta, and tv5. If you cant get either of those you can try to catch an online stream.

Won't happen. Not gonna happen. OM have Champions League football next year and Munich dont. Teams in Spain, Italy, and England can give OM more money for him than Munich can. Very few good French nowadays make a direct move to the Bundesliga. Its not a big enough step up. Bayren seem to have a big list of player of players that they want but they wont get everyone they dream of I never actually heard Ribery say he wants to play in Germany because I bet he doesn't. A Frenchman isnt gonna leave the biggest French club for the biggest German club. That's just stupid.

I agree with you on the "it'll never happen" part but why would it be a stupid move? If he signs a five year contract, he'll play in the UEFA Cup one year (with a good chance of winning it) and then right back to the CL. And Bayern would certainly meet the money aspect as well, its not like they lack it or have financial problems.

Why would Ribery want to leave a guaranteed CL spot for a potential one? The French and German leagues are equal in quality; what would be the point of swapping the biggest French club for the biggest German one when they will not play CL football next year?

Heard we're apparently being linked to Mainz striker Zidan. Would be an excellent buy. He's class and he'd be able to finish off the chances our current strikers fail to do under many occasions. :D
There are a large number of clubs chasing him though, so I doub't we'll be the ones ending up with him. Other Ligue 1 clubs interested I believe, were PSG and Monaco.

He'll stay in Germany(Stuttgart or HSV), he would be a moron if he moves to the French league.
It makes no sense to go to a lower league. The german clubs can offer him twice as much money as he would get in France.

We can offer him CL football--not exactly HSV territory. ;) At any rate, I don't think he would be a good transfer target. I want the backbone of our team to be strengthened, and by that I mean one CL-calibre player in each position: one CB, one or two mids, and one attacker.
I don't see Civelli or Rodriguez holding up very well against CL attackers. Mbami is good for depth, so we just need to get someone to help Cana out in the middle; and another good striking option to partner up with Cisse.

Like I said, Bayern will be back in the CL come next year. Plus, they have a great chance of winning the UEFA Cup. Will Marseille be in the CL every year from now on?

I don't think Ribery is looking into the long term. And even if he does stay at Marseille, it would only be for another year, until Euro 2008. Then he'll leave for sure.
Ribery knows he would be a starter at any club who is interested in him, and the Bundesliga doesn't have the appeal of the three big leagues.

Marseille have as good a chance of qualifying for the CL the following season as Bayern do. I also think most players would rather go out in the quarterfinals of the CL than win the UEFA Cup.

Yea but Bayern, with one year in the UEFA Cup, will still compete in the CL more and go farther than Marseille unless Bayern never get out of their slump and Marseille get back to their glory days.
I think Ribery would get the most out of joining Bayern because he'd fit in perfectly into the scheme of things.
But in the end, it's up to him and the allure of the "big three" will always trump the Bundesliga which is a shame because I think German football is on the rise.

Faty speaks about signing. He says he would have signed even without CL football.
My favorite thing about the interview is that he says that Samir Nasri played a big role in getting him to come Marseille. If Samir is recruiting, he's probably not going to be off to Madrid. :)

We've signed Vincent Gragnic. 23-year old midfielder from Libourne. Here's his interview.

Do you guys think these two signings are aimed more at getting us some depth? I wouldn't see these two guys as CL-quality signings...or are they? Maybe some really good prospects?

A lot of Frenchmen have love for Marseille. You can't under estimate love and passion for a certain club. Young Germans dream about playing for Bayren Munich but a Frenchman doesnt so instead he'll go to who gives more money.

In L'Equipe, i heard he said that his goal was to play in the Champions League with Marseille, and that he would be very happy to stay now that he reached his goal.
One has to wonder why Ribery would rather play in the UEFA Cup, with a Club he has no relation to instead of the Champions League with a club he is more emotionally attached with.
He could stay in Marseille and play in the Champions League, draw even more attention, get the Club more money in a transfer deal.I think there is a high possibility of this happening unless somebody offers him something that he thinks is a chance he might not get again that fast.

As a Madrid fan i don't think Nasri will be off to Madrid this summer. While RM is obviously monitoring the situation, i don't think they will go for him now. He's still very young, and it makes more sense for him to get as much experience as he can, and now that Marseille can play in the Champions League, why not let him get all the experience he can and just monitor his situation?Even if Real Madrid come back in 2 years for him, he's still going to have his whole career ahead of him.
I hope Marseille do good in the CL too, I'm getting tired of Lyon. :D

I hope Marseille will sign Benoît Cheyrou. ;) He's a talented, underestimated technical midfield and OM needs this kind of player, pure n°8, to allow Nasri and Cana showing their entire qualities.
