it looks good at first view, but imho zubar has yet to prove his worth at this level. idem valbuena (POTY in 3rd division) ... as for chevrelli...
cissé was a find, but i'm dubitative that he'll be playing in october like you read in places.

I'm rather happy about it, consistancy is more important then flashy signings. But it's still early on. Will be easier to judge in a few months.

I strongly disagree in regards to Zubar. He's looked like a workhorse to me in the 2 matches I've seen. Strong confidend and commanding. This guy is the real deal.

Thanks for Gimenez :D
If he wins a permanent deal, you will get an extra 500K euros + the 250 K we already gave you for the loan deal.
Too bad he didn't pan out for you guys...he's been perfect for Hertha :D

Yea but thats Ljuboja :D
Super Jimmy Gimenez is tied for the leading scorer in die Bundesliga, with 3 goals. Gets in great position, should have had a hat-trick against Schalke. I just wonder why he only scored once! for Marseille last year! How???! He's a great goalscorer.
Guess he couldn't fit in everywhere.

If I remember correctly, when Marseille signed him, he was a 31 yr old from Basel in Switzerland and it wasnt looked at as a marque signing by the fans. It garnered more groans than excitement when he was signed and sure enough he flopped but expectations werent high. I remember reading the offical Lyon forum and fans there were making fun of Marseille fans for signing this mediocre player.

Yea, he's with Hamburg.
He spent some time with Stuttgart, as well.

Really really glad to see that. Not much I'd like more than having a Yank at OM.
I was hoping they might take a look at Onyewu during the summer, but that never happened. He'd fit in well there, I think.

Really really glad to see that. Not much I'd like more than having a Yank at OM.it would be neat if we could have an american or two at OL, but the extracommunity spots are all taken up by those lousy brazilians ;)
a couple of seasons ago we used to go to see the women's team and had a lot of fun... half the squad was from the USWNT!

Carroll is a decent player. He has done well for D.C. United thus far. Considering his price tag, he wouldn't be too bad of a pickup for Marseille.

Carroll is being looked at as a replacement for Sabri Lamouchi and he was sent to the bench after M Bami was signed so I really wouldnt expect this American to get a lot of playing time if he is signed since he would be replacing a player who wasnt a regular first teamer.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but I was wondering what ever happened to Ahmed Yahiaoui. He was suppose to be one of the top midfield prospects and 2 seasons ago we were heavily linked with him. I have searched around and found that he was sold to Istres a Ligue 2 club, but I can't find him on their official website. What went wrong that led him to be sold?

I was wondering the same thing. I think he had some attitude problems, which led him to being sold. I thought he was back with OM though, somewhere on the youth teams perhaps ? He is still very young, he is contemporaries with Nasri.

Announced in departure for the Olympic one of Marseilles as of the mercato of winter, the medium of international ground of Of Gironde of Bordeaux, Rio Mavuba (22 years, 14 matches of L1 this season) made a point of calming the rumour. I will remain until the end of the season, I think ", declared Mavuba with the South-western daily newspaper of this day. The player had affirmed month last on the waves RMC-Information to want to find "a club" with pressure "to be able to evolve/move." This article is in Spanish but it basically says that:
1. a group of investors is looking to buy/take over l'OM and
2. that Sven-Goran Eriksson has agreed a deal to become our new coach.

Dreyfuss is considering selling his stake in the club and there is a Canadian investor keen to buy. If this is true then this is huge especially if this new owner has a lot of money. Since guignol is in France. I wonder what he's been hearing over there about this.
