The club are in contact with Sol Campbell.

Interesting... Sol has some good years ahead. As long as he can stay healthy, I think this would be a great signing, especially since he wont cost anything in fees.

What about Onyewu? I think he'd be a good pick-up and it'd be good for him too. He's playing in Belgium and he was at Metz before, so the language/culture transition shouldn't be a problem.
Onyewu is most likely heading to England... there are tons of clubs there looking into him.

I would be happy to see him walk away if only I was confident with OM's ability to spend milions of euros in a good righ back with all the package skills a right back needs : speed, good in defense and very good in crossing the ball to the forwards. but well with pape diouf and anigo "le bouffon", I do not expect anything good.
 Regardless of Taiwo's ability, he is a left back.

This has to be a pipe dream. It would be a fantastic signing, but I have a hard time seeing Campbell playing in France. I think he's more likely to end up somewhere like Newcastle or West Ham.
If it did happen though, it would be pretty ironic. Arsenal might be without a single Englishman in their starting 11 this year, and OM would have one.

I would really like to see Campbell at the Velodrome. Marseille's young center halves need a mentor like him by their sides.

Yeah except for the fact that Campbell said he would like to play abroad.

He is one of the best costarican young players, he plays a right wing/right side offensive midfielder position, he was gonna be transfered to Liverpool a few months ago

Yea, Bolanos would be an interesting signing.
He was given the "Bronze Boot" at the World Club Championship last year in Japan.
I think he had a trial with Liverpool, as well.
I hope we get him, along with Diarra and Campbell/Boumsong.

I think Sol would do wonders at OM. Why not take a chance? And there is no way, he is going to play in England. I see him in France, Spain, or Germany.
By the way, I love Sol Campbell. So I will be checking up on his progess with OM all the time.

He even said he wants a challenge in a country other than England, so for whoever said that he would be closer to Newcastle or WHU, that is practically out of the question.
I think what might deter him from signing for us, is the fact that we're not playing Ch. League soccer.

The deal with Campbell is that Arsenal would pay half of his salary in exchange for OM selling them Ribery. Fiorentina is also in the Campbell race now that they are staying in Serie A.

Hahahaha. No thank you. Let him go to Fiorentina. Ribery must stay.

Since they failed to get Sol Campbell, Boumsong might be coming in.

Now that the transfer window is over these are the players that were brought in.
17 MF Modeste M'Bami (from PSG)
2 DF Renato Civelli (from Banfield)
9 FW Djibril Cissé (from Liverpool)
15 DF Ronald Zubar (from Caen)
16 GK Sébastien Hamel (free agent, from Auxerre)
20 DF Hassoun Camara (from Noisy-le-Sec)
28 MF Mathieu Valbuena (from Libourne-Saint-Seurin)
30 GK Mehdi Sennaoui (from Strasbourg)
Not bad but not too spectacular either. They missed out on a few players they wanted like Sol Campbell and Boumsong. Looks like they could have used another quality defender.
