The leftback position did look weakest today. If we could sign someone (not Coco) before the end of the window then i think that we should have one of the best defences for a long time. I personally think that the defence we have at the moment is better than the one we had when we finished 4th and 5th. It is only the lack of strikers that is stopping the team progressing.

I some proud of the boys. After Jenas was sent the result was inevitable, but Boom, Taylor and Carr looked up to the task. LB we need for sure Babyaro did his best but we need someone with more confidence on the ball going forward.

I agree with you Toon Toon our defense looked better then it has in awhile. I think alot had to do with Parker and Emre tracking back as well.

Bramble On Way Back

By Ian Willis

UNITED defender Titus Bramble is expected to be back in the squad for Saturday's game with Fulham at St. James' Park after recovering from an arm injury.

The former Ipswich centre back suffered an elbow injury in a freak training ground accident with Michael Chopra back in July, and has yet to kick a ball at any level this season.

But Bramble has made good progress in his bid to get back to full fitness, and was rejoining his team-mates at the Training HQ on Monday with a view to being involved against Chris Coleman's men at the weekend.I have a hard time believing he's match fit.

Should Taylor slid over to LB if Titus is ready?

England Under-21s and Germany played out an entertaining 1-1 draw as a goal from Newcastle's Steven Taylor cancelled out Stefan Kiessling's opener for the home side.

Taylor stabbed home a close range volley with five minutes of the first half remaining after the impressive Kiessling had earlier given Germany the lead with a majestic header. Go on Stevie!! :p
