Just got a moment to get online. Disgusted by todays events in the capital, I heard from my sister 7:30am my time, who lives there saying she is fine. Which to be honest was no surprise because she lives and works in North London.

Anyways hope that THFC1, Jumhead, Lillywhite and the others who have London as their hometown are safe and so are your families. That also goes to all others who use the BS board hope your family and friends are safe and well.

I dont know anyone involved in what happened. I have been told though that their was a bomb in Croydon which is about 20 minutes away from where i am(not sure if it was a controlled explosion)

Without meaning to sound crass, a bomb in Croydon could do more good than bad!

It never ceases to amaze me what people can do to other people. :(

....it's sickening! Croydon should have been flattened years ago!

(not by a bomb, but by the government)

dont know if this has been posted i read it on the rugbyrugby messageboards. it was a poem read on BBC Radio

London Pride

You come to place your bags of hate
On bus and train, you made us late
Yet we'll be back again tomorrow
We'll carry on despite our sorrow

Your bags of hate caused some to die
Yet we stride out strong with heads held high
You'll never win, we will not bow
You can't defeat us, you don't know how

This London which we love with pride
Is a town where scum like you can't hide
Don't worry we will hunt you down
Then Lock you up in name of Crown

We're London and we're many races
Just look you'll see our stoic faces
We all condemn your heinous act
You will not win and that's a fact

We'll mourn our dead and shed a tear
But we will not bow to acts of fear
You're out there somewhere all alone
There's nowhere now you can call home

Olympics ours we've won the race
Your timing then a real disgrace
Our strength you'll find remains unbowed
We're London and we're very proud.

....We're ok. You can stand side-by-side with us, you can even hold our hands. But you need to sign Robbie Keane for at least £5 million before you can do that.

All are well that I know. My bro was in Russell Square when the bus went boom but is fine , and a mate got on the train that was before the one that got hit.

And now I'm working nights to guard stuff.

i got evacuated at westminster but never had a sense that it was anything other than a power surge until i had walked to work in mayfair. My girlfriend's best friend Rachel was on one of the trains and is sill in hospital with shock, we just sent her some flowers. She was in the news:

Back in work today, took the tube, no probs, business as usual.
