No offense but how do you know he doesn't know much about Guatemala and that he doesn't know the national anthem or spanish?

His parents are hard working Guatemalan immigrants. We have no idea how close he is with his Guatemalan roots but I can assure you that at the very least he knows spanish. I know the area he's from in L.A., this guy knows spanish.

IMO he's a brighter prospect than Sims. Sims hasn't even commited to Guate either has he?
on ES:
there was an article on Guatefutbol.com it said he's never even been to guatemala, and he said himself that he knows very little about guatemala.

On sims:
Sims atleast made the 1st team and played 3 games so far this season and as far as his commitment, he hasn't made any to Guate nor USA.Currently his father Oscar former NT member is consulting with him according to the may articles I've read i forsee him wear the sky blue and white.

Last I heard, Loco was recovering from a leg injury (pulled muscle). Probably not far away from a return to action as this was a few weeks ago.

More news Ive just Got Regarding Dwight "El Tanque" Pezzarossi
He Might go to other Clubs in europe that are very Interested in him.

Those countries include: Spain, Italy, and Qatar!!!!

http://www.lared.com.gt/internaCont.asp?idc=123805&id_cat=219

His Agent said There is a 95% chance he will stay in europe and thats Great, el tanque manger has to be one of the Best he landed Tanque in Bolton wanders 2 years ago!

Tanque is still recovering from his injury but according to this interview we should know more on his next club in mid june!!!

Do you have the link about Estuardo Sanchez from Guatefutbol?

Yeah Sims has played more than ES this season but that's not a good way to measure their future potential or even current capacity to play.

Estuardo Sanchez is 18 years old 5'11 165 lbs.
Williw Sims is 22 years old 5'9 150 lbs.

I think Guate. needs to commit Sanchez and Sims if they want to continue to be contenders.

You haven't even seen these guys play really, though?!? How can you say that? I'm not saying it's not true, I'm just saying that I'm not going to consider them the future of the national selection until they mature a bit. As for what will be critical: a coach that can teach the players tactics. That would be a good start.

I've seen Sims play, he is pretty good. He's quick and he makes nice passes. They are playing him more as a right midfielder. He doesnt look as tall as they say he is.

ES has made the bench, but the kid is only 18. He has scored a few goals with the reserve team. One on the U.S. in a closed doors match.

Awesome. I understand that they have potential. I guess what I'm saying is: we need to see these guys perform consistently at a high level prior to declaring them to be critical to us "contending" in the future - I hestitate to believe there would be much disagreement about this.

True, but how about Freddy thompson(24) he's ********ing Awesome!!! he will be the next player to go Abroad , there was offers in Uruguay and the MLS at one point last year. His team may of sucked but he was there best Midfielder

Riqui Murga(25) is good too , but he might not be enough to leave.

freddy Thompson is a bit more proven on the Pro and INTL' level he should be somewhere this summer or at the Winter Transfer window...

UNCAF 2007 in February should give clubs another good look at him

I really like Freddy Thomson. He had the game of his life against Panama in that game that Chalo made the last second goal. He should be playing abroad, I see him playing in South America

Agreed.

Though I always get concerned with our boys and whether they can get out of contracts they already have in Guatemala. That often inhibits a move for the more than anything else.

As per Loco, here is a recent news item:

Comunicaciones though are quick to loan players out in such instances as Dwight Pezzarossi and then sell them when he is Highly wanted.

I see freddy thompson being loaned first and then being sold to where ever he goes.

yeah right, that will only hurt his career and any possibilty of being selected for the National Team...

BTW Riqui Murga the attacking Mid I metioned above will be in the Final in La Liga nacional He will be featured in this Fall/winter Uncaf tourney and of late teams like Suchi, Xelaju, and Marquense have been being eyed by eastern European teams.

AND I have some Tavo NEWS

These upcoming friendlies against the Reserves will determine if he fits on the squad. they said that they like his physical play and how he has got along with the players, the coaching staff and The difficulties of Europe with out much problems.also that he play Right Back during the clubs trainig session

The second week is what sells Cabrera to Viborg FF wish I him the Best.

Guatemalan Abroad update!!! 06/06/06 Edition

Carlos Ruiz,FC Dallas: scores another goal and sets a club record for most consecutive goals scored (6 games in a row with 7 goals)
he leads the league in pts and is tied for 1st place in goals (7) with 3 other players . dispite his team 2nd loss of the season they remain 1st place in their conference and 2nd overall.

Dwight pezzarossi, Racing de ferrol: currently injured and recovering , he has offers from teams in spain , Italy and qatar. He was in hot form for racing de ferrol scoring 3 goals before being injured. He wishes not to continue with the relegated racing who acquired him in January in a loan and will reveal his decision this month.

Luis Swisher, Polonia warsaw: swisher is having talks with a Bulgarian Club as he wishes to continue playing european soccer he is also talking with a Local domestic club Xelaju, he has stated that the best offer as of now is the Bulgarian club.

Gustavo "tavo" Cabrera RSL/ Viborg FF: he is in his 2nd week of his stint with the Danish Superliga Side Viborg FF. Viborg's coaching staff are impressed with his aggressiveness and defensive attributes last week and that this week they will see were he stands in the Friendlies this week which will determine Tavo's future in european soccer.

Wille Sims, New England Revolution: the MLS rookie has had his ups and downs and glimpses of a bright future .as the season goes on he will remain a starting fixture for the reserves and might get his chance again with Pat noonan injurying himself again this weekend.

Mario " el loco" rodriguez, Miami FC: slow season for him, he's playing forward for them instead of his trademark Right-midfielder position , I hear he is recovering from his injury and should join the team soon.
