Just purchased my tickets to see arguably the most successful DJ of all time spin in our fair city.

Thursday night (7/7) at Redzone...for $20, you really can't afford to miss it. (Ferry Corsten will also be there, which makes it even more worthwhile.)

Yeah, this'll be the first time I step foot in Redzone since about 2001...I made the decision that I was getting too old for dance clubs and raves and that whole scene, but I can't pass this up. (I have a feeling that this wasn't promoted terribly well, though, so I hope the crowd isn't exceedingly lame. :( )

No way, C-Bus is on the cutting edge of all musical acts.

The scary thing is that you are probably being serious. Although I have no idea who RBF are!

Is RBF playing at the Electric Toad, or Glowing Frog, or whatever that place was called?

So did you catch the show? How was it? I saw that he's spinning in Indy on Monday and I'm debating whether or not I want to go out that late on a work nite to check it out. I figure if I go to see him, he won't do his set until probably midnight or later.

Plus I have never been to this venue, so I would have to investigate it this weekend.

The show was absolutely stunning, as I expected. I'm still trying to recover today at work, which is proving to be quite difficult (got to bed around 3, up at 6 for work).

The sound system was absolutely fantastic, much better than I remember at that venue. The crowd was enormous, and really into the performance. Oakie really kept the energy level going, encouraging hands in the air, clapping, etc. Also, he played a remix of "Another Brick in the Wall" that the crowd went crazy for.

The quality of the ladies in attendance was unreal. How come you never see these girls anywhere else in Columbus? I'm convinced that these clubs have some sort of underground lab where they make beautiful women specifically for event nights.

Oakenfold went on around 11:30, and finished up about 1:00. Ferry Corsten, who rocked the place pretty hard as well, played from 1:00 to closing time. The experience was worth way more than the $20 cover, and I would highly recommend going when he swings through Indy.

(Regulator: Unfortunately, according to his web site, Oakenfold just came through New York on July 3 at Crobar.)

kk, if thats at talbot street, which i think it is, you will love the venue. I'm not really a club guy, but thats by far the best i been to in indy.

Awesome report. I think I'm going to have to score a ticket to that now. I heard that if you spring the extra dough for a VIP ticket that the hot chicks actually take you down to the basement babe-lab and have their way with you.

yep, that's where it's at. do I really need to get a ticket ahead of time (and if so, does it need to be online) or can I just get it at the door?

I hope not ahead of time, but I would do so just to be safe, they been promoting the hell out of it. I work that night and am just hoping to go down afterwards and catch most of the set depending on how I feel, but I'll probably be shut out. It's worth a shot for me, as Talbott is only 5 minutes from my place.

As far as I know, the only pre-sale tickets available for the Columbus show were at groovetickets.com, but you might want to check if any stores around Indy are selling tickets.

I would recommend groovetickets though, since it was extraordinarily easy. Your name is actually on a list when you get to the venue, and you sign for your tickets on the spot.

Go early, though--I don't know what happens when capacity is reached, and people on will call still haven't arrived.

DJ - I drug my fat a$$ down there too and it was well worth it. The eye candy alone was worth the price of admission. I am amazed that I made it into work by 9 though. Good music. Too much liquor. Good times. I didn't even think about trying to meet you there though. That would have been nice. I wasn't that familiar with Ferry Corsten but was very pleased.

Glad you were able to make it. No worries on not meeting up--I was pretty much trapped on the dance floor the whole time anyway, with not a chance in the world of squeezing through the crowd. I can tell I haven't been out dancing in a long time, though--my neck and arm muscles are pretty much shot today. Did you partake of any of the FREE tequila that the Sauza girls were passing out?

My next goal is DJ Icey on 7/22 at Global (Long Street).
