I had FSC on the tube, Sky Sports News was on. I see Nelsen's face on the screen and I quickly try to turn off the cleaner, but can't find the switch. By the time the vacuum is turned off, they're done with the story. Anybody else see and hear this one?

Anybody else see and hear this one?My guess (at a little distance) is that it's all about how Ryan & Blackburn (who want to upgrade his contract to 3 years) are having trouble getting him a work permit for the UK from the British Home Office. The prime reason is that NZ isn't rated high enough in the FIFA World Rankings, hence he doesn't add sufficient value (by their rules) to the EPL with his presence at Blackburn.

Actually, after I posted that, I googled him and found that he's got a hearing about his work permit coming up. The coach is sure he'll get it extended or whatever.

As an Aussie you are indeed an imbecile. ;) However, by some quirk of fate, you are correct. It is an appeal against the Home Office rejection. My feeling is that he'll get his extension.
p.s. Don't know if you follow cricket. If you do, what a bloody brilliant match it was earlier. Looking forward to the rest of the summer.
