While I share your joy, I also imagine that, since they're already qualified to the next round, ManUre didn't exactly call out the big dogs in this one.
Maybe after this, though, Sir Red Nose will be able to tell his Israeli teams apart.

Really couldn't care less, we're already through .........
Good luck for tommorow. Go and thrash those Germans. ;)

I agree, MANU brought the 2nd team, no doubt, but it's still funny.

LOL ......... I even find it funny. ;) I've got an Israeli friend who will no doubt be willing to remind me of this result for a long time to come!

OK, the Man Yoo team:
Ricardo
G. Neville, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Silvestre
Fortune, P. Neville, Scholes, Richardson
Forlan, Solskjaer
The only one I've never heard of is Richardson. The rest are regular first team squad members, so a bit of credit to Maccabi. I saw the highlights and the fact is they scored two absolute screamers and had a penalty for the third. Ferguson gave it the usual about Maccabi not being in it, but they didn't show the Israeli keeper making many saves. With the team they had out, I'm sure the red-nosed one is positively volcanic at having lost. Ha-Ha!

Not exactly 'reserves' in the usual sense of the word, ie they would make the first team for just about any Premiership side! Its always a pleasure to imagine steam blowing out of Ferguson's ears!

Didn't Man United play Hapoel (sp?)? I thought Sir Alex said they were playing the team that knocked Chelsea out last season... ;)

Forlan got his first Premiership goal at the weekend as ManU can only muster a draw. Forlan scoring is kind of funny actually.
