I finally got to check out the lineup for the Live 8 concert in Philly. Wow, i've never before seen a group of utterly inconsequential musicians come together to save the world. I've seen better lineups for the MTV Movie Awards, its fckng embarrassing. The London Concert on the other hand, has some real acts, i wonder how long each set will be, 10 minutes?

Really? We'll be in Marietta, well, East Cobb Co. anyway, right next door to Roswell. No doubt my wife will have an agenda for all the high quality dining not readily available here in Griffin, so if you're in the Macaroni Grill and hear a five yo girl getting uppity, that'd likely be us!
So, fireworks are legal in Ga now. Wal Mart has their Small-Nation Invasion package right next to the candy. I can't imagine what it's going to sound like for all the dogs this year, or to be working in the ER's.

Indian Casino Operator: "Where did you get those fireworks?"
Bart: "From some guy down the street."
Operator: "That's crazy talk!"
Bart: "You think I'm lying?!"
Operator: "No, that's my brother, Crazy Talk."

Here's the funny thing about PA: you can buy fireworks here, but you can't use them within PA without a permit. Evidently, you have to sign a form saying that you'll be taking them out of state to blow them up (which no one ever does). The best is that there are some HUGE stores here, including Phantom Fireworks, which looks like a grocery store. Up near Erie, there's the greatest combination ever: Fireworks AND Karate Supplies.

My husband thinks it would be so cool to live in Schenectady just because it is so fun to say-that and Poughkeepsie and Parsippiny.... :D

My brother drove cross country last summer, Ca to Va...called me up when he was in a fireworks hut in NM...he was asking me what he should buy. So, being the huge phan of Joe Dirt, started rambling off the same types of Fireworks that Joe was suprised to find Kickin' Wing didn't sell...M80s, Husker Do's...Husker Don'ts (which don't exist, btw)...needless to say my bro asked for those - he called me and said the owner looked at him like he was an idiot when he said "HUsker Don'ts"...man I larfed my arse off!

Or Oneonta, NY, Hahira, GA...
I got a lot of jokes about Schenectady growing up, but that is the birthplace of GE, which once employed some 30k people there, I believe. It has it's charms and classic ethnic neighborhoods. When my mother was about 4 she would go around telling everyone "My mother's Polish and my father's Scottish... and I'm French!"

I never liked snakes, they didn't explode. The only fun was using a match to make it grow 2 heads.
And i know the term your speaking of, in my town it was used in reference to a bottle rocket with the stem removed.
