Ok folks trip to London question time:
What does standard double/twin mean as far as hotel rooms go? Is that you either get a double bed or a twin bed or you get both? Hubby is not a small fellow so the twin would not work for the 2 of us........unless to bring back college memories-"we'll share the shelter of my single bed"....... :D

Seriously though what is the deal with the hotel rooms?

I'm not sure, but even a double bed would be small. Also, I believe some hotels charge per person, not just per room. Some of the English posters will be able to answer better than I though. When you find out, let me know!

Good God-is there no one that has a regular queen sized bed? What the heck is a classic double? :( I need some guidance! :D

LOL, you will find that our room and bed sizes are quite a bit smaller than yours!!!! One of those things I guess but a Twin/double means you could get two singles in the room. Simply book it, then phone them and sort it out, they should be fine. Which hotel are you trying?
