Did any of the American posters here catch McEnroe discussing Live 8 with the NBC co-host during the brief rain delay on Sunday? It was absolutely one of the highlights of my weekend... two tennis broadcasters pretending to be rock and roll experts!!!
After having seen Federer destroy yet another unworthy opponent in the final with grace and power, only one thought crossed my mind: Federer must definitely be a Gunners fan!!! (probably friends with Senderos too... they're about the same age!)

The Live 8 covereage in the US was terrible. Too many people talking and not enough music.
So....how long does it take Pink Floyd to book the reunion tour?

The Live 8 covereage in the US was terrible. Too many people talking and not enough music.
So....how long does it take Pink Floyd to book the reunion tour?
No Shite and book it!!!
I tuned into the MTV coverage and after 25 minutes, I had seen 3 minutes of live music (from 3 different bands) and no mention of how to donate money, get involved etc. It was all talking heads and commercials!
I did see the Pink Floyd segment and almost went balistic when they cut away from the middle of Comfortably Numb to show some stupid bird talk about how cool PF are! Amazing.

I have never ever liked Pink Floyd but I will have to say that i was impressed but what I saw this weekend. Those old geezers can play. I'd be even more impressed with them if they can maintain some sort of integrity and refuse the megabucks tour that will now be offered to them.

Floyd has always been my top band of all time and I was really excited seeing all the original 4 out together again! I read this morning that their album sales went through the roof this weekend, and as a result, PF are donating all royalites from the recent buying frenzy to African relief. They don't want to prosper from their reunion. A tour would be great, but after 20+ years of being on the outs, I doubt it will happen. If it does, it will be of their own making and not a media stunt.
