He was impressive in the England-Holland game, another centre back though, but he is only 21 and for a fee of £2m that could be good business.

...I never watched him to be honest, in fact, I've never even heard of him. A writer of THBN emailed me the story and so I fixed it a little and posted it.
He said he was a very good player.

he will not be sold, and an asking price of £2m is ridiculously low. the blogger is either not very well informed or making up stuff, or both (btw: boulahrouz is under contract for another 3 years, not 4).

I doubt very much that the club want this player. just a lazy tabloid putting 2+2 together as Jol was his manager and we're signing lots of young players.
We have Dawson and we have Huddlestone. If the club buy a defender it will either be someone in their prime or more likely an experienced player next summer to replace Naybet as the old head at the back.
and god knows we don't need another slow and defensively minded player in midfield. Pace and creativity is what the club are looking for in there.

If the guy is a major talent and is available then we should look to improve our squad. Maybe we could swap Atouba and Boulahrouz. ;)

The guy is pretty damned good and young. He will not go for only 2m, and I doubt he would go at all. HSV have a young and talented team right now.

That's true, Thomas Doll is building a good side there. Expect them to challenge next season.
