Personally i think it would be better for them if they did start earlier instead of walking right into a last 16 elimination game. Hell maybe even 2 teams both starting earlier.
The MLS teams aren't bad, but they lack legitmiate international cup experiance and it shows, getting in a round or 2 earlier would help their chances i think.
I would prefer a wider arrangement the teams, like libertadores (36 I think) and avoid direct confrontation between same country teams in the eliminatory and 1st round.... With 36 teams and maybe some sacrifice from Brasil and Argentina we could allow maybe 3 or 4 Concacaf teams, but send them to the first round...

I just had to do some lenghthy research and you're right, DCU played Vasco in the coveted Interamerican cup in 1998:rolleyes:. Not quite the same type of tournament little girl.
Exactly. Vasco had just won the Libertadores Cup, so they were much better than anything in this Copa Sudamericana. :p

My guess is that Atl. Nacional is going to rape America.
They played 4 finals in a row in the Colombian League and they just became Champion (4th time)
My guess is that they have a bad a.. team.

Yeah thats good news. What made them change there mind?
They originally had a baseball playoff game scheduled for that time, but when the White Sox-Angels series ended early, the time slot opened up.
With the Internacional-Boca game conveniently scheduled to start two-and-a-half hours before tonight's Astros-Cardinals game, it was a common sense call to put it on live.
Nice move.
