Bienvenue au Café de Saint-Germain! The one and only place for everything PSG!

Welcome back to a new year after a pretty mixed bag for PSG over the last 12 months. If you've never posted here before, don't worry, there is only one rule. You have to talk about PSG and Paris. Please feel free to post in French and English, I don't mind, it's all good - so long as I understand it.

So, please sit back and let the cool smell of Parisian coffee waft over you, as you just sit back and chillout at our very exclusive Parisian café. The sun is shining, the lights over Yvelines are bright, and the sweet sensation of springtime is trying to break free amongst the wonderful surroundings of the Boulogne forest...

"...If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast." - Ernest Hemingway

PARIS EST MAGIK!!!

Here's latest news:

Former Paris Saint-Germain FC coach Luis Fernandez has signed a one-year contract to coach Qatar club Al-Rayyan. Fernandez, whose finest hour came when he guided PSG to their 1996 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup triumph, had not been involved in coaching since steering RCD Espanyol to Primera División safety 13 months ago.

Marseille fight PSG for playmaker (http://www.clubcall.com/vsite/vcontent/content/transnews/0,10869,5034-143501-19728-27811-178822-11681-5024-layout104-160717-news-item,00.html)

Marseille have made a bid to hijack Paris Saint Germain's move for unsettled AC Milan midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo.

The former Lyon playmaker has just one year to run on his current San Siro contract and is widely expected to be sold this summer to prevent him moving on a Bosman free next year.

PSG registered a firm interest earlier this summer but Marseille are said to have tabled a £1.5m offer for the diminutive France international, as Milan consider their options.

Dhorasoo featured just 12 times last season.

Actually, it's advanced cryotherapy. at the forefront of sports science...article here (http://195.154.98.152/fr/news/show.php?id=7620):

Jesus Christ. That looks insane...

I think that's the same technique that Cobos was using at Nice....

Hmm, if the club wanted to dish out money they could fly the team to train in the mountains of Tibet. The higher altitude would increase RBC count and increase stamina when they return to Paris.

Iirc, they usually go to the French Alps for pre-season training...

Bad news for PSG today, as it has been confirmed that youngster Samuel Piètre will be out for upto 6 months after rupturing his cruciate ligaments...

A big blow to one of our up and coming young stars...

A little change to our pre-season schedule....

On the 23rd of July, we were due to play either Inter or Juve in Geneva. We will instead play, another Italian side, Udinese.

Kickoff will be at 20:30, local time... :)

About time. AEK 0-4 PSG

All the new boys played, and we have to give them time to gel.

But that was really encouraging. Especially given the Nice and Creteil games...

We will now play Udinese in our final pre-season game on Saturday in Geneva (17:30 CET)

Allez PSG!

Looks like there has been a quick change to the Ligue 1 schedule. We will open the season against Metz on Friday at 20:45 local time.

This is because Marseille, who had been selected for that live game have an Intertoto cup match two days earlier.

Southern wimps. We played Lyon on a Friday iirc, straight after WC qualifiers. Mario Yepes = hard man!
