sorry to intrude in your most amusing squable threads but I have a couple questions.
1) What Columbus area has good bars. Like when we were in LA we got lucky there were few good ones on beach 5 minutes walk from hotel that we lived in for 3 days (when not abusing KC). If there are some around stadium that's cool, that way we can set up camp at one of hotels in walking distance. Any Legion members want to field this? :D
2) Where's your reserve field (address would be good so we can find it on map :) )
Danke

Define a good bar first. Are you looking for good beer, easy women, jukebox, live music?
Would be helpful.
If you are staying at the Days Inn closest to the stadium I'd suggest the Triad Lounge with is easily accessible by taking 17th to St. Claire, to 11th, and it'll be right there on the corner.

Not a Legion member, but Bourbon Street is within walking distance of the stadium (five minutes, tops) and constantly has good shows. Trouble is, it literally is "on the other side of the tracks", if you know what I mean.

High Street is your best bet then.
No Osjecko in Columbus though.
I go to the Triad whenever I go to the stadium. It's not much by looking at it, but they have a huge selection in beer, and have loads to do there.

Spent 3 days in Zagreb. Stayed in a hostel near one of the football grounds but not sure which team.
Got the train from Budapest there, train stopped halfway there and we had to get some dodgy bus for 40 miles. Bus felt like it would brake down any moment.

My brother was almost conscripted into the Croatian Army off of a train during the 90s unpleasantness. They didn't believe he was an American student over there for research :)

If it was large ugly one it's Dinamo, if it was small ugly one it's Zagreb :D
Anything else would be regional leagues

If your group is really interesting in terrorizing the local Columbus yuppy population, I suggest you look into drinking heavily in the Easton area. Most people will probably think you've escape from some dungeon beneath Fado's up there, but I bet you could get yourselves into some trouble and some fun if you head up that way. Also, it's a good place to take any tag-along wives that like to shop and don't want to hang with the soccerboys. Just make sure you put a limit on their spending, as they could really wrack it up at that place.

That does suck.
There's a good pub and grille, called the Rose & Thistle, but it's in Grandview, somewhat out of the way. There's the Claudaugh, downtown, and Fado's. Those are some of the few that I've heard about or seen.

Just head up to High street and hit any of the campus bars, can't go wrong there.
If you have a driver, head 23 north to right outside the 270 belt and you'll find The Winking Lizard. Over 100 different microbrews from across the state and nation. Nice atmosphere and if there's a game on they will usually turn it on for you since they have about 100 TVs. Eats aren't bad either.
I've been to winking lizard. Actually they're hit and miss on prices, but the selection is virtually unbeatable. Some beers that should be really expensive aren't, and some that shouldn't be are. Jair, do you have any info on their happy hour prices or offers?
I'd stick with the Triad though if you've never partied in Columbus.

As far as beer goes and if my memory doesn't fail me, they have dollar off drafts through happy hour (till 7). I think Labatt Blue is on special on Thursdays. They always have some beer/shot/drink of the month and various other specials based on the season.
My favorite is the keep the glass special. Get the beer of the month and it comes in a special glass you get to keep (duh). Stella is in September.
As far as food goes, they have specials after 5 just about every weekday.
