The F.A. are considering conducting an "investigation" into an alleged 'stamping incident' by DK10 during the Blackburn Rovers game on Saturday. Apparently "Saturday night T.V." showed an incident allegedly depicting DK10 stamping on a Blackburn player.
The F.A. state, "We will await the report of Graham Barber (the referee) before deciding upon any further action. (if any).
I'm sure if the referee had seen it, he would have dealt with it at the time.
Funny how "we" always seemed to be "singled out" for 'further action'. It's as if there's a conspiracy. What the ref misses (if anything) let the T.V. pundits hound Arsenal. I don't see this happening too much when Southampton, Bolton, Man. City, etc.etc. are playing.

He stamped on Nissa Johansson (a player he has previously elbowed in the face at Ewood last season) and didn't get sent off. The only player you have who gets singled out is Viera, whose ban was stupid and farcical. The second yellow for Flitcroft was wrong as well.

I have just watched the tape again because I wasn't sure I was right having seen it live, but the referee did give a free-kick for the challenge. Therefore Bergkamp should not be singled out as the referee has already dealt with the incident. I'm not saying it wasn't a bad challenge because it was, but if they charge him now they will just be ignoring their own rules.
I also agree that Flitcroft didn't deserve to go. I said at the time it was a very harsh decision and I haven't seen anything to change my mind.

Aint no "allegedly" to it. I was relieved that Bergie wasnt ejected at the time but figured an "investigation" was eminent.

It has been confirmed that Bergkamp will be investigated. And people wonder why Arsenal fans think the FA is out to get us!

I haven't watched the game yet(I'll see it tonight) but I'll guess that the challenge and the hand stamping are to be considered 2 separate events in which case the FA can choose to review the incident unless the referee says that he saw the incident.

Dennis Bergkamp is a brilliant player and he has his downsides. He's called the Iceman because he is one of the coolest players on the pitch and maybe Johannson swore at Bergkamp and anyway we're on the downs now, and Dennis is probably a bit frustrated...just hope Arsenal win against Dortmund or get a draw because I cant stand a loss again... :'(
