Fulham Football Club has today announced the signing of Icelandic striker Heidar Helguson from Watford for a fee of £1.1m. Having successfully completed a medical and agreeing personal terms, the four year deal will see the player at the Club until the summer of 2009.
27 year old Helguson joined Watford as their biggest signing in January 2000 from Norwegian side Lillestrom. His impressive goals to games ratio for the club made him a favourite amongst the Hornets' fans, winning Player of the Season, Goal of the Season and Display of the Season, during his time at the Club. Representing his Country at all levels the impressive striker is nicknamed the Ice Man for his accuracy and cool head in front of goal.
The guy has a great record against premiership clubs and with a premier league midfield behind him, he could have a break out season and score some wonderful goals.
