I've gone twice now. Shakespeare in the park is put on by Actors Theatre at Schiller Park in German Village. I've gone twice now, the second time was rained out though, a 1/2 hour into the production.

It's actually really nice. The plays run from Thursday to Sunday, starting at 8pm each night on those nights. I suggest bringing friends or that significant other, having a picnic in Schiller Park around 6pm or whatever, throwing the baseball or frisbee, and then relaxing for a two hour performance outside.

The acting isn't amazing or mind boggling, but it's very well done and I was impressed. I'm a big Shakespeare fan myself, my family and I usually go up to the Stratford Festival of Canada every year to see plays.

This is just a nice alternative if it's a nice evening, you want to eat outside, relax, and watch good theatre.

Here's the website, if you're interested...

If I had a girlfriend perhaps. In the meantime I'm happy to listen to Bright Eyes as my sole means of entertainment.

German Village? Damn Zak, you're missing your chance to toss the disc with Frankie and foot-bag with Kyle while enjoyiing some thespian entertainment. What more could you ask for.

If it was lesbian entertainment, I guarantee you Zak would show.

Probably true. I'd love to have a Hantuchova/Myskina sandwhich where I provide the meat.

I think V-Army should have a tailgate over at the next performance, make sure El Legion feels at home.

And then whenever a person comes out on the stage, you can chant "Who Are Ya?"

And, hey, it's German Village, I thought there were plenty of "alternative couples" in that neck of Columbus. Was I misinformed?
