I would love see Hugo in there but he might not have the experience yet. The FMF should also go after Bianchi. Maybe it was destiny that Bianchi would take over since he was in the running the last time around.
Hugo would do great also I think just don't know if his personality and big mouth could hurt the team at some point.

hugo needs more experience as a manager. but if he wants to take the job, why not. as long as hugo doesn't turn into rudi voller.

I am glad he is finally leaving. I have been calling for this for a while- Hugo would be the appropriate replacement.
So who takes over the olympic team?
Watch yourself.

I know Lavolpe has his fans, but I have yet to see Mexico play as well as they're capable of playing with him as the manager. I disagree with those who think Hugo isn't up to the task yet. He's been excellent from what I've seen at Pumas, and I think he'd get Mexico playing under a more aggressive mindset. As far as Bianchi goes, I'd hate to have him as the manager of my team. His style at Boca is among the more cynical approaches to soccer that I've seen. Maybe he opens things up more in games I haven't seen, but when I have watched Boca play, it has frustrated me to see him pull the reins in on such talented players. I suppose it is hard to argue with the results he's achieved, though.

Do you guys remember when Hugo said that certain FMF officials would rather jeapordize the National team, rather than admit they made a wrong decision. Saying that they do this because they dont want to lose administrative power. God forbid other FMF officials wanted X coach but these guys opted for Lavolpe, and now that Lavolpe was not working...
i still remember that interview... if i recall.. he concluded with, "they will regret this for the rest of thier lives."

do you know where i can find that interview?
no, but its common knowledge.
The reason I brought it up is because it appears the FMF President will not accept his resignation. saving face????
all things aside... i dont want a coach that keeps threatening to leave. How many times has he said..."IF.... this....I will leave"
A couple months back... Lapuente said on TV that if you dont believe that the Mexican National Team is the best, you do not need to coach that national team. Lapuente and Hugo have said various times... "I can win with those guys".. they usually say that when Lavolpe goes on his rants that he doesnt have a Hugo Sanchez, Maradona, Zidane, Pele

Lapuente should come back. Hugo is not a bad choice, but i think the guy needs more experience.

i would go for bianchi, but seriously i want lavolpe to stay. yes this was a game that mexico should of easily won, but everybody makes mistakes. hopefully he'll learn from this and wont do it again. plus, remember when Aguirre took Mexico to the gold cup,and did a horrible job, he didnt got kicked out. what about Ojitos meza, who didnt even won a game in Confederations Cup and he still was the coach. if a new coach comes he'll want to test new players and thats gonna take at least a year, and theres only two years left to the WC. i say that he should stay.

If I remember correctly Aguirre was subcampeon and this time around we were overpowered by Uruguay, Argentina and Brasil. We barely beat Ecuador but only because of all the prayers and no ore time on the clock. Yes, the final score went to us but do you really think we won.
Lavolpe has had two years and only won in Mexico which other coaches have already done. We want to go beyond that and take the next step. I do not think he is the one to lead us there specially if he considers hiw own players un-talented and rips them all the time. I say Hugo or Bianchi now!

i would go for bianchi
there you go sucking up to foreigners. Mexico needs a Mexican coach. Bianchi had the chance to coach Mexico and for good money but he didn't want to. Why? because he didn't think Mexico had enough talent so basically he is another Lavolpe. You have Herrera, Hugo, Tena, 3 good mexican coaches. Don't come with the "they don't have enough experience," you're making it sound like you had to play qualifiers in conmebol or something. Remember that you're in concacaf.

i'll go with the "they dont have enough expirience". yes we might be in concacaf, but isnt the main goal to qualify and "win" the world cup? if a coach has no expirience winning championchips, what is he good for in the NT? lavolpe **********ed up in this one even though he has expirience, how would somebody else act?
