Apparently it's 6 million now and up to another 4 million depending on how long Arnescum is at Chelski. That is very good for the club.

Now the big question is who they bring in as DoF.

Where'd you hear that?

At least we can now concentrate on football matters and go and get a DoF.

Comolli or Ramon R. are the two that I would most like to see at the club.

According to the Sun, like Sendo says, they are going to pay £10m

'And though the compensation figure has been agreed, the clubs were still finalising a clause preventing Chelsea from signing any Spurs employee for the next two years'

All I can say is that thank god for the Journo who took that picture. As it appears that we won, w/out it those rent boys would have been laughing at us. I will be happy with anything between 8-10mil, I think Levy has come out with alot of credit in my eyes, even for a gooner season ticket holder. He even deserves a "you're Spurs and you know you are, you're Spurs and you know you are" :D.

What is great about Friday is that, Veron went to Inter for a free and we got about 8mil out of the Chavski's, that was 23mil they lost in one day:D

A Spurs spokesman said: "I cannot disclose the exact compensation figure, but reports suggesting £8m-£10m are near the mark. The proof of this will come when we enter the transfer market again.
"When we find the right players, you will discover Martin Jol has a lot more money to spend".

I wish they have had to go in front of the FA. Hopefully they would have smacked Chelsea around and still made them doll over some cash

What would we rather? 10 million or Chelsea losing 3 points? :) :p :D

I love that "Spurs spokesman" quote THFC1!

You missed off a 0 in that, it's 1,000,000 a year not 100,000.

...unfortunately not. It is only £100,000 per year for the years of Arnesen's original contract with them. He'll sign a 4 year deal. £400,000 in total.

Not read the whole thread but i have some thoughts.

I am disappointed with the whole situation.. Chelsea could have had him last year when he was set to retire and came to us instead. What is he going to do at Chelsea exactly?!? they don't need a world scouting system, agents will be bending over backwards to flog their players to chelsea and as money is no object it makes no difference. Disappointed in the man we thought was a diamond for turning his back on the club one year into a 3 yr deal, its clearly for the money. As for the photos on the boat... classless. Pff, suspended.. meets with someone he wasn't supposed to. Well..

Disappointed that Spurs accepted the cash. I would have rather, for the good of the game, Spurs told them to stick it and gone to the authorities to get Chelsea sanctioned. It sets a dangerous precedent. With the Ashley Cole thing it makes me think that if Chelsea had just said "ok, there's £40m for him now drop the court case..." would Arsenal have said yes? I do see why the money is too good to turn down though..

Notice how when Chelsea went to AC Milan for Sheva they did it by the book and all above board. So it's ok to shat all over Spurs and Arsenal but not Milan? Milan are better and more worthy of respect than two clubs in the same league as Chelsea? Sort the attitude out, each club deserves the same respect. I know Milan are quality and linked to the Govt and FA of Italy but it should be irrelevant, a top league football club is the same in all the major leagues.

What's that old saying? Don't ******** on your own doorstep... well, they did and Spurs cleaned it up with a massive smile on their face as Roman flicked them some chump change as a tip.

Signed; Saddened of Scotland.

It has to be a false statement.

He's with us til 1st September officially.

Anyway Danners, you ask what Frank's gonna do at Chelsea and i have a theory.

For the next year or two, Frank will immerse himself in the Chelsea culture while Mourinho gets on with winning some trophies. However, Mourinho isn't the manager that Abramovich really wants. Abramovich wants a team of stars, like Real Madrid, only better. Mourinho doesn't like stars or egos in his squad and he has final say over who comes and whos goes. Kenyon is repeatedly failing to attract star quality (Torres, Adriano, Sheva etc) and his head's gonna roll shortly.

So basically, in about 2 years time, Abramovich will want a team of stars and the man to give it to him will be Arnesen, who will it is hope, seamlessly replace Mourinho (who'll get a big fat pay-off).
