Found this in the Boston Globe this morning in Bill Griffith's SportView. Doesn't say how long the agreement is for, just that Italian League matches will be on Gol TV next season. Its on the very bottom of his collumn.

I *think*, and DAGSports may be able to confirm, that La Liga is contractually set for La Liga until the end of next season.

*think* being the key word there. :)

It better be, as long as it exists. I would be worried if La Liga started playing NHL instead. :D

According to Constantino and Oliver/soccertv.com, Gol TV has La Liga through next season. With Serie A, rumor is the key to the deal would be sublicensing a game each week to Cablevision/DISH to be shown in HD and then delayed on Gol TV.

I would like to know when Gol TV will start its own broadcasts of HD games? Instead of them sublicensing games over to Voom, I think its about time Gol TV starts to do their own HD broadcasting. If Gol TV decided to broadcast in HD somewhere down the road, Comcast could show the games on their INHD channels. I remember reading that Comcast was looking into acquiring Gol TV.

If they show the top game delayed on Gol TV - I really don't have a problem with them doing this. I just hope that us Direct TV people have the opportunity to buy the game via PPV if we so choose.
