A bunch of us will be up at the game, but we encourage all of those not making the trip to head over to Hale’s for the game. Hopefully, you’ll be able to hear us on TV!!!

When: Saturday, June 25th- 7:30pm

2. Saturday, June 25, Metro v. Revolution Bus Trip- still seats open

LAST CHANCE!! SEATS STILL OPEN!!!

We are running a bus up to New England, and it’s getting full. But, there are still some seats left. If you are on the fence about going, please come. We need your voice!

To reserve a seat, send an e-mail to empiresc@verizon.net.

The Revs are in first place and have yet to lose. Metro are moving up the table and have been killers on the road. We tied them 2-2 in a home game in May that we should have won. It’s the return match, and we’re looking to take 3 points in their house.

The bus trips are always a good time, and we can hang out, sing, drink & tailgate, etc. The bus will have a restroom and tv/vcr combo. You are welcome to bring anything you want on the bus with you to eat/drink/etc. Just remember to take it with you when you leave.

We’ll be sitting in section 117 in the first few rows, right where the Metro players go into the locker room. We sat there last year and had a good time, and it’s a great spot to hang out and have our voices heard. Don’t miss out!!!

If you are going on the trip:

Please bring food, drinks & water for yourself for the trip. We will have garbage bags for everyone, please use them. Additionally, we are going to have a grill up at the stadium. So, if you want to bring some food to grill, that would be good too. Burgers, dogs, buns, etc- anything helps.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

3. Monday, July 4th, Metro v. Real Salt Lake- not on Television

As part of a “Welcome to MLS” gesture, the Metrostars are playing on the road against newbies Real Salt Lake on Monday, July 4th at 9:30PM ET.

As part of a “screw you” to all Metrofans, the game isn’t on TV. THANKS! Not on MSG. Not on FSC. Not even on Direct Kick.

So, there will be no match viewing for that game, unless the details change and the game ends up on television. But, this is a good chance to take a portable radio down to the FDR to watch the fireworks and listen to the game in Spanish on WADO, 1280 AM from your cozy lawn chair. Or something.

You will (in all likelihood) be able to watch the game on your computer, via MLSNet.com. Then again, maybe not.

If anything changes, we’ll let you know.

Just wanted to drop a note here saying that it was great to see some old friends and meet a bunch of you guys yesterday.

Tough loss for you guys in what was an enjoyable match. Great job though supporting your team.

You have nothing to be disappointed in ... you've got a damn good team. Should be an interesting second half of the season.
