If every league in the world had to choose its top 3 players who would be the Premierships??
Henry? Terry? Rooney? Vieira? Gerrard? RVN?
Who would you select?
I would go for:
1. Henry : pure brilliance
2. Ronaldo: the boy is a genius, and he will get better
3. Terry: the best defender in the world IMO

Henry, Cole (Ashley), Cech.
Whilst Terry has had a cracking season, it's by no means certain that he'll be starting fo England when Rio and Sol are fit...
Vieira at his best is in the top 3 but it's been a while since he was at his very best...

Cech - Who needs defence when you got him.
Gerrard - Perfect captain, drags the team to victory even if they dont want it.
Ljungberg - Workhorse
In my opinion three players who get on with the job in hand, good attitudes and no messin about.

1. Ruud - Henry is up there, but Ruud's record in Europe is way better.
2. Lampard - Just great.
3. Rio - For me, he's the best defender in the Premier League.

Actually, it's the other way 'round. Not to diminsh his talents as his one of the best in the world, but who needs a great keeper when the defense doesn't allow quality shots? Man Utd. was second or third best in goals against with less than stellar performances from their keepers.

I think that has more to do with the Rio-Campbell partnership than individual skill of any of three

Yeah, but I thought we were just talking about EPL?
As for my list:
1. Henry
2. Lampard
3. Alonso

This is a tough one.

Alonso was a good shout though schafer.
No it wasnt, especially when he clearly is no better than the 3rd best player on his own team.

Sorry mate this prehaps isnt the thread to go on about this but 15 goals past 1 keeper in a season is just damn hot, an chelsea had there defensive problems. You need 4 good defenders but just one hot keeper. you only had to watch him to see how damn important to the side he was. Plus cheaper than defenders

Anyone who puts Ronaldo on this list is looking through some tinted glasses, he can beat a man true, but his end product is poor, he doesn't get enough assists or score many to be concidred the best in his team let alone the league.
!. Henry - Scores more goals than anyone else and is just simply brilliant
2. Lampard - Scores loads of goals from midfiled and drives the team on
3. Gerrard - Similar to lampard, but lampard was much more effective this season.

Gerrard and Carragher are better players than Alonso.
