????

If this is true, what ever happened to the Cole deal? Maybe Jol read this forum and though twice about him.

This is getting interesting. Those tabloid pictures of Arnesen and Abramovich together on the pikey's yacht have really strengthened our hand. That they can suggest it was purely coincidental is firstly just absolutely mind-boggling (hey look there's big Frank Arnesen strolling along the beach, Hey Frankie fancy a beer on my big boat over here?), and secondly just goes to prove ther complete and utter arrogance.

Anyway, Bridge is quality. So is £8m. I'd take either, but preferably Bridge as, even with the money we'd struggle to attract that calibre of player

Levy is mental. I'm surprised he hasn't asked for Lampard and Terry already.

Levy? Mental?

Check this: You illegally tapped-up our Director of Football. You thought you could get away with protracting compensation negiotiations to the extent they would collapse. You then got caught with your pants down as your pimp was photographed lounging with his new beatch. That upped the stakes somewhat don't you think? We have every right to ask for Wayne Bridge. His valuation is comparable to the financial compensation you will pay in order for this issue not to go before the FA.

Personally i'm starting to hope that we tell you to get lost and report you. You'll be docked points for sure and who knows what other (transfer dealing) restrictions will be enforced. Your already sullied name will be muddied even further, your pimp will get bored of this football malarkey and leave. You'll become the new Leeds and Kenyon will burn in hell for his misdemeanours

Well you will probably get your wish, i.e. you reporting us, as I highly doubt we will be giving you young talents like Huth and Johnson, much less our starting LB valued at about £8 mil. I'll eat those words if I have to, but you can live in your little dream world until it happens.

Is he still your starting left back now you have Del Horno though? I can't see Bridge wanting to be stuck on the bench when it's a World Cup year (but then I can't see Chelsea getting rid of him).

I'd argue with calling Johnson talent too ;)

And Gallas can play left back and has done for them for alot of last season but Del Hornowill be first choice i would think.

I think ADH will be #1 through the autumn while Bridgey recuperates but I fully expect them to split time after Xmas.

Johnson has had his moments (both good and bad) in the past 2 seasons. Many on the Blues board feel he would make a better RW in a 4-4-2, which won't help us as we rarely play that way. I think his boneheaded tactical mistakes and youth make him a perfect backup for Ferreira - he is young enough and makes just enough mistakes that Jose can justify not starting that often. The moment he complains about playing time just whip out a video of his stupid yellow cards and sloppy positional sense and he should see the light.

...if you have a good story about spurs, email it to me on wallonwall@gmail.com

I'll then post it on THBN. I had my record unique users yesterday (23.06.2005) 176 of them!!!
