Good stuff! $20 million for the franchise is a good price. Hopefully nothing will change with management.

good to see they're probobly legitimate fans of the team and of the sport. and the real-estate clout couldn't hurt, either.

Thanks for the link. It's good to know these dudes are regulars at DCU matches. It should help give them a sense of history and what being a United fan is all about. Hopefully this will translate into the new digs.

Good to read this:
"Lauterbach, Kissler and Lore have become regulars at United's matches at RFK Stadium, and all attended Saturday's game against the New England Revolution."
No doubt the atmosphere at RFK helped seal the deal! :)

Acutally, that's probably pretty true. You don't generate that type of atmosphere without regular attendence. I wonder how many DCU fans don't own any sort of season ticket equivalent but still attend every game. I bet the number is higher than most other MLS teams.

Unfortunately, Willi Lauterbach is no longer in the World Rankings of Fédération Internationale de Domino (FIDO)
Too bad.

so it's not Fulham :)
good news, hopefully they have the ability/willingness/understanding to wait out any losses until the stadium is up. we're used to fairly deep pockets among owners, but it's good news MLS may now be getting investments from non-billionaires
I'll have to point out that my link here had Kissler's name :)
and here's more about their Richmond project

so it's Global Development, maybe directly? It'd be nice to know a little about how these 4 structure their investment.

Hmm... maybe I'm just trying to pat myself on the back, but anyone else find the timing fishing after I revive the thread yesterday and say it's a local real estate development group and NOW Goff puts names on it and puts it in the Post?

No offense, but Steve is a damn good reporter who gets this stuff on his own.
