The team is away for 4 days. Esky was going to NJ to visit his parents. I don't think we will hear anything until Friday or later.

I saw the story about going to visit his parents, but it looked like it was written before the game. I sure as hell hope he was checked out before going anywhere. Multiple concussions can be serious business -- career ending, in fact.

Great reference. That movie has some brutal stuff. It was incredible.
I certainly hope Esky is recovering quickly. Concussions are generally worse if you've sustained previous concussion like Esky has.

Ong Bak = one of the best movies I've seen all year. Liked it so much I saw it twice.
Esky going home - "Mom? Dad? So thats what you look like."
Man, I hope he gets back soon.
I have to wonder though - did his desire to get a goal and break his scoreless streak put him on his back? Was running that hard into that ball with 5/10 minutes two go up 2-nil a bad idea? Thoughts?
I think thats just the way he plays, and I love him for it. He plays hard and is trying to get the most out of his minutes, prove to Nowak that he deserves to play. I have to admit, I like him coming in as a sub in the 2nd.

Eskandarian's got a Grade 1 concussion and a banged up shoulder. The team psysio said after the game that he should be OK for the next game, but you never know with these things.

Here's one instance where the extended break helps us out.

He always plays like that. I can't count all the times last year that AE made something happen out of hustle.

Isn't Grade 1 the worst? I'm not a doctor, and I won't try to play one on the internet.
Thx,
Jay!

No, it looks like grade 1 is the best. Well, you know what I mean...

"There is no standard classification system for concussions. Four of the leading researchers in head injuries maintain their own classification system. The symptoms of each degree of concussion are often very similar, and one can be confused when accessing a head injury. Concussions can be divided into five grades, 0 thru 4."

I learn something every day. I hope it's not career ending. To be safe, I suggest he sit out the rest of the season. ;)

Or we always just hit Metro fans in the head with baseball bats in a scientific study to set real concussion standards :D

Esky reminds me of a slimmer, shorter version of "Billy Ray"...
:D
You only have 5.. (POW!) ...4 concussions left!

"Grade 1 concussion involves no loss of consciousness but the person suffers from impaired intellectual function, especially in remembering recent events and in assimilating and interpreting new information."
Jeez, most Metrostars supporters could be walking around with Grade 1 concussions at all times, and who would know? :D

the person suffers from impaired intellectual function, It must be hard to diagnose with Esky, since he went to UVA and that's pretty normal :)
