Sorry to post here, but I'll be in the District tomorrow morning with a chance to take some time off of work... anyone know of a pub showing the US-Italy match? thanks in advance...

The usual answer is Summers in Arlington. It is on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, just off the Metro. (I don't live in DC but used to, and that seems to be the most active restaurant for showing football.)

Where in the district will you be? Near the MCI center? Northwest? Dupont?

Right by the White House...

While I haven't been there to watch any matches, I understand that the LUCKY BAR carries soccer matches. And they are on Connecticut Avenue, NW, on the right side of the street (just past M Street NW), as you are walking north toward Dupont Circle.

Lucky Bar at 1721 Connecticut. Cross streets are 18th between M St. and N St. NW on Connecticut...

They usually open around 2:30 (IIRC) and have been showing the U-20 Cup as well as the Confederation Cup. No cover, just a $10 minimum bill.

:)

Enjoy!

Well...
I can gurantee you I'll be at the Bottom Line.

They're a 30 second walk from the Farragut West Station
(the north exit - I think - ask someone if you go)

They'll open at 11:30 am - right in time for the first kick.
Figure with the lax setup at the internship no reason not to take a 1hr. + lunchbreak. It's also near the White House. No cover charge no minimum and I know they have Fox Soccer Channel, because I Dj there on weeknights.
