Wow. Everyone in my office today has crazy coffee breath going on. I think I'm going to set a box of Altoids on my desk as a massive hint...

I love it-we're here 10 minutes and already bending the rules! Go Cam ;)
Not really, just thinking that since it is new and the rules just derived it is better to try and modify for the better now rather than later. Maybe a limit of 5, but most everything posted in here.
The problem with only one dedicated OT thread is that if there is anything OT related that someone wants to spread, it may get lost in our "Naked" threads. Say I found really cheap airline tickets and wanted to share with the group. Unless you keep regular tabs on the naked thread or read up on it, the info may be lost to all. Just a thought. I understand the need for control, but there needs to be a slight bit of flexibility. Hell, that is what the Arse boards are all about! :D

Let's all try and keep ourselves contained to the one OT thread in here. If we start making exceptions right off the bat for this and that, then the next thing you know my nightmare of hundreds of OT threads is realized.
Mostly my reason for one thread is that, should anyone cause a ruckus, I can easily weed it out. If I have to go to 20 threads to weed things out I'm not going to be thrilled about it.
We're lucky they added the sub-forum at all, as the BS bigwigs don't add forums at the drop of a hat, and when I requested it I was afraid they were going to tell me that it needed to all be moved to FFA where, of course, it would have been slaughtered.
Now the OT folks have a spot for the OT stuff and the soccer-centric crowd can't complain about OT threads dominating the board. I thought this was a good compromise that everyone could work with.

Plus Kangaroo threads are based on Arsenal fans making "mistakes" etc around football, therefore they are football related!!

And Kangaroo Court will remain the main forum so that the convicted may be mocked by the greater number of posters.
If you want to know, the main issue that generated the complaints is that the OT thread had a core group of posters, and when anything happened outside the OT thread to one of the regulars the others arrived en masse (see yesterday's Lupoli debacle). There were also complaints that on topic threads were hijacked and blown off the rails by OT posters all too easily.
I'm in a tough spot here. I basically started the OT Thread concept with "Off Topic of the Day", and it became popular, but then there was backlash. Alas, no matter what Rick or I do I'm sure that someone won't be 100% satisfied with it, but we're doing the best that we can...
So Coach, are you trying to say that the OT folks have formed a gang?
