oh yeah Cobain (hate it when people make him seem like he was more talented then he was......just cause he is dead)That is what I was waiting for someone to throw him in there-yea he was a waste because he left a kid behind with a seriously f'ed up mother if nothing else......
Not a Nirvana fan-if you can't tell.....if you include him-have to include Brad Nowell, Layne Staley, that dude from Blind Melon........
I hear you....he's no grunge messiah to me, did like Nirvana however....not sure what part of my brain sharted, but I can't believe I forgot Brad Nowell...was waaaaaaaaaayyy more into Sublime than Nirvana (speaking of Nirvana, anyone heard the new Foo Fighters double album?)
haveta rep you for that one, steph...

I really liked Nirvana and Cobain. I think he had a lot more talent to pursue and explore than what was recorded. I really like the unplugged album, especially when he play with the brothers from the Meat Puppets.
Brad was also great as well as Layne and Shannon. All gone way too soon IMO.

Besides the MTV bee-girl song, that album was really pretty good. I would skip past the Rain song and listen to the rest. If you haven't listened to it, you should give it a go. Kind of your style, I think.

c'mon BH...you KNOW I respect Jerry way more than that fat bast....mama cassassassass...she's so fat she has 4 asses....lol...
p.s.- what's with the taxi? and can someone let me in on the Pfffft?
No disrespect meant to Jerry but Mama Cass had some pipes......that woman could sing. I actually really like the Mamas and the Papas.
Also the ham sandwich incident is a myth. She actually died of a heart attack....which was certainly, and unfortunately, linked to her weight problem.

It'd be tricky, yet possible. But what can you offer me in trade? ;)
I can't imagine anything that I have that a Chelsea fan would actually want, but i'm remain open to g-rated suggestions.

Blind Melon was really a great band, its kind of sad that they are only remembered for "No Rain" as it was kind of a novelty song which didn't really represent the band well at all. Their first album was great, the second was really good, and even their last album of left over tunes had some real gems, a totally underrated band, IMO.

Git yer ass to the beach, OR, barring that, go buy a really cool Hawaiian flower to suprise yer blonde chick with.
Last warning from me to back away from the BS while you're there... ;)

steph just might make my ignore list for this post..
I thought I was on your ignore after the Lupoli "incident" anyway! :D
What really pisses me off about Cobain is that he left a child behind....with that psycho Courtney Love as her only parent......and it aint like he was around making music and contributions like Jerry did for 30 years........who knows what he actually could have contributed.......that is my point-a waste because he took the easy way out.....he might have yo-yo'd btn sobriety and addiction like a lot of musicians have but he would have been here at least-trying.......look at Scott Weiland-he is working hard to stay sober now.
I like Alice in Chains-think my hubby looks kind of like Layne!

you know, you would think it would be something I like...I used to work at Blockbuster Music - on of my coworkers was a huge blind fan- used to make us listen to the selftitled (of which I had on tape) and "Soup" all the time....maybe I just didn't connect with it then...will take a re-listen and see where I stand...
for the record, I have nothing bad to say 'bout Blind Melon, just they didn't take me "there" the way Air Supply did ;)
