Happy Fathers Day . . .
Tonight myself, Tony Limarzi, Chris Webb, and guest host Garth Lagerway will run down the week's performances against Chicago and New England.
We've got Tino Quaranta and Curt Onalfo, US Men's Assistant Coach, scheduled for interviews.
We plan on touching on DCUnited, the rest of MLS, U-20's, and Full National Team, but anything is fair game.
With a 10 day break, is DCUnited finally coming together? Is it the right time? What position will the allocation fill? Wilson's outstanding start, does DCUnited need another defender? Will Lalas turn around the Metrostars? Is it as important to the league as he claims, or is it just another move by him to get an allocation? Is Freddy Adu doing what is needed in the U-20's?
And we've got media guides to give away.
You can email your questions or comments to WJFK@dcunited.com OR call in at 1-800-636-1067.

Good show guys, I actually remembered it was on. I was changing a tire thru the first part of it and grilling during the second half :)
Interesting little comment from Onalfo saying he was happy with Freddy's progress, but he'd "maybe like to see him get more playing time". He liked being called "former United star" ;) Nice insight on what the thinking is for this group of players in the Gold Cup camp.
Garth is good entertainment on TV or radio. Saying Zack must have "just lost his mind a bit" was funny.
Tony seemd to be a bigger part of the show this week ... pressure from the sponsors?
I especially liked Tino's interview. The kid is fired up, full of confidence ... and humble ... totally different kid than the last couple of years. You couldn't help but feel good for him. He was hyping Jaime big-time, especially all the help he's given him learning to be more professional. He was funny talking about how he "assisted" on Jaime's goal. I just passed the guy the ball. And called from on vacation at the OC.
Rob, the police stopping by around six to tell you to either put pants on or close the curtains does not qualify as "dinner guests" :D

Sorry I fumbled around with three or four questions in my one call--I was trying to link Rongen's work with the Youth National Teams into a segue on the U-20s, but I always choke right in front of the net. :p
Oh, and thanks for the not pointing out my whiff, and for the Media Guide.

Steven, thanks for the call, it was a good one.
Trust me folks, there are no "bad" calls, and you don't have to stay with the flow of the show. In general, we save the last segment of each hour - immediately after the interviews, around :40 past the hour - for a wrapup type thing anyways. Almost always we have a specific post game wrap up in the first segment of the show, so if you have a comment on the team's performance during the game that would be the time to call in.
If you have a question that isn't something we've covered, call in and ask. If you have more than one question, say at the beginning of the call, "I have a couple of questions," so that we don't cut you off immediately.
In any case, the show is picking up a little momentum. I appreciate all those who have called in, and hope that you continue to show MLS that everything DCUnited is the best.
At the moment, the station likes the fact that the show isn't a disaster, but then again it isn't a "blow-out, must have programming". I'm not complaining, I'm just passing along their feedback to me.

I hate to actually admit it but that was a good one. Untrue but funny. Rep given! And new sig.

Did anyone else catch that the first commercial break included a commercial for fireworks? I'm sure it was unintentional that a DCU soccer show was sponsored by ads for pyro!
