This half is the best I've seen United look since the glory days. Even last year's team didn't knock it around like this. And it's against theoretically the best team in MLS. I'd think long and hard about busting up that front seven.

I still think Alecko has more gas than Q1, that once this slump is over he is still the man.
Freddy not in the mix?

Well, it's a long season and everyone's going to see minutes. But they looked like world beaters in the first 45 and someone's got to start.

Garth Lagerway made the oddest comment about Tino: That he works well with Moreno and Gomez because he's comfortable playing with his back to the goal.
We've seen Q for what four years now and we can probably count on one hand the number of times that he's played with his back to goal.
He works well with Christian and Jaime because he's essentially the same type of player as they. Thus they can interchange constantly and that's what we saw working so well today.

Agreed. I almost choked on a curly fry when I heard Garth say that.
What you say about those three is very accurate in how they play similar styles to each other. As long as they are clicking and interchanging, it works well, but it has a high tendency to fail miserably once teams figure out what types of defense to play against them.
It's good to have different options up top especially, so let's hope that this concussion for Alecko a) isn't too bad and Esky can play soon and b) is bad enough to wipe out his memory from this miserable start to the season.
What Moreno and 'Tino have done the last two matches has been nice, but I'm not too comfortable with the first option off the bench being Walker or Thompson if Alecko is out. (Not like Nowak gives Kuffour a shot, anyway)

Great line Todd.
