I don't have the Post in front of me, but as I remember Goff's expected lineup it contains neither Carroll nor Simms. If he is correct, it looks as if we are going balls-out on the attack against NE. He has Esky and Moreno up front, with Q, Dema, Josh, Bennie, and Christian in the midfield. I guess we are going back to last year where Bennie and Dema were basically holding midfielders. I love Simms and I like Carroll's energy, but if this new lineup works out we may want to stick with it. Quaranta's second half Wednesday keeps him on the field, and I guess Esky's second half energy and obvious thirst for a goal puts him back in the starting lineup.

On the negative side, Namoff still can't go, so the projected back line is Wilson-Boswell-Prideaux again.

Here's the "probable" lineup Goff listed:D.C. Probable Starters (3-5-2 formation): GK Nick Rimando; Ds Brandon Prideaux, Bobby Boswell, John Wilson; MFs Ben Olsen, Dema Kovalenko, Christian Gomez, Josh Gros, Santino Quaranta; Fs Jaime Moreno, Alecko Eskandarian. So, yep, that'd be the lineup we used for the first 15 minutes of the second half (after Esky came on for Carroll, before Stokes came on for Prideaux) on Wednesday.
