infest your beds and get y'all up to enjoy a full day of soccer ;)

Ahhh... that's right, nothing like the prospects of a real Soccer Saturday to take one's mind away from

(a) Whether to post in the Chelsea is "the highest-profile game in the club's history" or just another "meaningless exhibition" thread

(b) or the David Stokes bashers are "black lab-loving insensitive jerks" or "highly insightful connoisseurs of defensive frailities" thread

The chance to roll out of bed at the crack of dawn and head to Summers Restaurant (http://www.summers-restaurant.com/) to join the truly hard core fans for the 7:30 am LIVE showing of Adu and his U-20 buddies kicking some Cairo cabbies asses, er...um, fine pointy-headed pyramids acting as practice cone Egyptian-types and advance to the next round of the World Youth Championship!!

The game finishes just in time for those interested in a little pickup soccer action at Lee High School (http://www.screaming-eagles.com/pickup.html) at 10am.

Plenty of time to head home, shower and relax before heading out to the tailgates before the "Revenge against the REVs" match!

Alas, I will be headed out of town for the rest of the day and thus will not be able to partake in anything but the early match, but for those more fortunate please post your thoughts about Freddy's prospects and performance here.

Sweet! I have been missing the 7:30am matches on Saturdays.
If I get the battery changed tonight, I can wallow in a hungover state while watching the US beat up on the Egyptians, than it's to the brewstore, and the airport and finally United slaughter of the a$$hats!
Truly a Saturday to be enjoyed.

First we have Kraut slurs and now Camel jokes.

Better hope we don't have any Egyptian DC mods. :p

eat before you go - or show up early and order right away, you'll get it by halftime. To be fair, I haven't ordered anything there (except beer) since they re-did the kitchen, the service may be faster now.
It's your standard diner-type fare. The hot ham and cheese was good.
There's a Jerry's sub right behind the place and a Wendy's across the street :)

If Marvell is called "Man Child" by his teammates, does that mean that they call Freddy "Child Man" :D

And our family prefers to order the French Toast at Summers (especially at 7:30 am).

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.
The fish & chips and burgers are acceptable. Order anything other than that, and God is your co-pilot.

This is what I was telling people for a while. Now, it's backed down to "just burgers." The fish in the fish & chips have gone downhill.

Actually, the only food I ever have there is grilled chicken w/ rice and steamed broccoli. Very simple, very nice. (And hard to wreck.)

For a long time, my safe choice there was the buffalo wings. They weren't great, but they were OK. Then suddenly, they went awful; so I moved on to the fish (either fish and chips, or in their "Trio" with shrimp and chicken). Then, recently, the fried fish seemed to take a turn for the worst. I hope your grilled chicken continues to come through for you, but I wouldn't bet on it . . . :)

I got a steak there once. Woke up a week later on a street corner in Richmond, crazy times.

Seriously though, I did get a steak there and it wasn't bad. Maybe I just have low standards when it comes to food but I have never gotten the quality complaints. It did take until about halftime to get the food delivered, though.

That early in the morning? I can't believe they'll have anything other than breakfast.

I had the full english breakfast thing a couple weeks ago when I went to see the West Ham playoff final. It was acceptable.
