They have Mexican League on Sundays I think and that's about it.

hmmm....
that's true most of the year. mfl is the sure-bet on their programing.
but, they also carry everyone's favorite sports (for latinos that's mainly soccer) sports recap Republica Deportiva.
and they'll carry stuff like Copa America. (let's put it like this if the Mexican national team is playing - Univision might carry a feed). Copa America was nice last time around because where else can you see Uruguay, Colombia and of course the super-classic Brazil - Argentina.
Also with WC Germany 06' coming up, Univision always carries the WC, remember Univision shows EVERY world cup game. So even if ESPN is showing a game on tape-delay. You know Univision usually, is your place for live coverage.

You should be more excited about the beautiful women they'll have on that channel.

Absolutely.
Yeah, they're showing Confederations Cup. IIRC, they stuck with the WC 2002 trophy presentation when ABC broke away.

Great point. Univision will show the national anthems during the WC. Its great stuff for TV and adds to the drama. I still have a VHS copy of the amazing S. Korea - Germany match. The look on Kahn's face during the national anthem was priceless. Believe it or not. Univision will show different angles on replays while ESPN shows other ones. Its nice to have the option to switch around from one to another.
.... and of course the ladies, do rock.
If Lente Loco is on this channel I'll be in heaven.

Time Warner, like always, is light-years behind the times. We begged for Univision for years, never got it. I switched to satellite and now they add it on. Unfortunately, it isn't enough. You need to have the full range of channels - Univision, Galavision, TeleFutura, and FSCE to get all the possible soccer you ever want. I've had a great time this week watching both WYC and Copa Confederaciones from any of the first three channels. Saturday we have USA-Egypt, Germany-Argentina and Germany-Tunisia (senior squads). Add to that watching the Crew on the web, that should make for a great pre-Father's Day day.
And the ladies on Republica Deportiva - las Senadoras - rock. For the last WC they used body paint on them to represent the different WC teams. You can always check for pictures on the website.

Yeah. WOW cable in Columbus has had Telemundo for a while. TW has their "Sabor Latino" package, but it's sucked royally. Add to the fact that you can only get it if you have a box, and that's another hurdle. ($7.95 a month for the box + $4.95 for the package.) As a company, they need to reach out to the Hispanic population in Columbus, or they'll all pick WOW or satellite. They also have HBO Latino east and west feeds, and several premium movies have SAP programming, but that's not enough. They've had to reach out and offer something on standard service.
I only know what 5 of these channels are. It's probably safe to guess that some of them are Spanish simulcasts (CNN, MTV, etc.) Heck, FSE sometimes shows FSC's programming in Spanish. Although, I have heard that FSE is good for Copa Liberatadores, but not much else.

OTOH, isn't Veronica Paysee on Univision sometimes? Or is that just Telemundo?

I think she may be on Univision but they do promote each other so the lines get blurry. I'm watching a WYC game on one channel and they'll announce the evening game on another one. They're loyalty is not to their channel but to their sport - which is the way it should be.

I lived in SoCal for 11 years so I 'grew up' with Univision. Spanish aside, it is a fantastic channel. Very crisp, clean image (at least when matches are in North America). I remember in 2001 I watched Copa America on univision. They had all of the knockout round matches, plus a studio similar to 'College GameDay' in that there were a ton of fans in the studio.

I turned over to this channel the other night when I was really drunk and I watched what I believe was a Mexican version of "Let's Make a Deal".
The whole thing was surreal.
