Why don't the other supporters groups who are against the Bologne Boys actions use their space to voice their opinion of disgust? Or are they afraid?
Do the Bologne Boys run the Parc?

In the context of....?

the SA and Auteuil in general have clashed numerous times with the BB. If you're addressing the most recent events, they have condemned the boulogne boys' brand of hateful politics. Alternatively, they are taking a stand with the BB on the issue of closing the tribune on the basis of solidarity among supporters' groups.

Good...I did not know this, but I'm still utterly disgusted by PSG board for their response and lack of stomping out racism at PdP for fear of losing ticket holders.

Didn't they just give some sort of weak emotional slap on the wrist about the whole event? I thought France was a bastion of tolerance. I'm not saying the racist pigs that wanted to beat down Jews represent all PSG supporters or even all of France, but the reaction of the PSG board and public seems to concern me.

If this post belongs in another thread please feel free to move it.
Thanks.

Why doesn't PSG have a USA or American Supporters Group?
I know the NYC one exists, but shouldn't there be one for the whole country?
The NYC Chapter can be the model for others.

Just an idea. Sorry, I'm a historian, I always try and look at the big picture.

Lack of numbers and overall popularity.

From the US side, aside from the students or expats who have spent time in Paris (and provided they actually like football), most people go for a week, maybe a weekend, and go home. They don't have an attachment with the city or the club. Secondly, there's few enough L1 games on TV, let alone ones with PSG. And then one realizes that being a french club doesn't help in terms of language and accessibility.

From the french side, France isn't too gung-ho about football anyways, and Parisians even less (unless it's the world cup  ). With Marseille it's understandable because its really a culture down there. So you're selecting from an already smaller group when you consider the expats to move here.
Secondly, if one wants to generalize, the french really aren't about clubs and going out to join activities like this. This is a comment so many of them make when they talk about cultural differences. In france, usually you'll get some associations or syndicates but other than that, it's mostly individual.
Then you have to look at where french expats usually go and who they usually are. You'll find some in NY, SF, LA, and Miami. Furthermore, the french communities in a city like LA and maybe Miami (though I'm not really sure) aren't organized at all. One of my friends from marseille, who is here for a short term internship, has gone all around and hasn't met even one other french person besides one of her friend's friend's boyfriend. Also, especially in LA, most are rich, slightly older and keep to themselves. If you've been to the consulate, you know what I mean. In SF, the atmosphere is much (MUCH!) warmer, but the french there are a still very 'clannish' and don't really reach out and try to meet other people besides other french expats. A couple of the friends I made during my internship don't know a single american other than the odd intern like me :D

So yea, it's nice to see the NY group doing well, but IMO it's quite an accomplishment already! Kudos to AllezParisAllezPSG.
I suppose an obvious counter-example would be the Arsenal America group, which is exceptional by any standard. But one has to realize that it is a completely different situation. Not saying it wouldn't be cool if there was more cohesion ;) it'd be great, of course.

interesting point catfish and i'm glad you brought it up...

when i first created the club (literally a week away from the 1 year anniversary) i thought at first of creating a psg club etats-unis... but it would have complicated things big time... i do have to say that once news spread about the new club (which btw is not yet official - it's INCREDIBLY annoying to be "regie" by the 1901 law and the only way to do so is by being in paris and going to city hall...) i got e-mails from all over, no joke... i got e-mails from all over france and countries like algeria, germany... and then i got e-mails from some fellow fans in the states, from a student at yale (who is now a member), from philly (also now a member), miami, d.c., detroit, st. louis, oklahoma (goes to OU) and chicago...

i could talk about this for hours but for all our sakes i'll stop it here...

i do have to say that if anyone is interested in starting a local supporters club somewhere in the states/canada, i'd honestly hope that person would like to be "affiliated" w/ our club... actually on our temporary website, i mention that i want to use this club also as a means to help psg fans all over north america to communicate w/ each other...

ps some good stuff concerning the club should be happening in the next few weeks... :)

As if our team's position in the league wasn't enough, our supporters are once again making headlines on sporting news

Yesterday, against Sedan, a group of Dutch supporters of Utrecht went to the stadium, by all accounts, to purposefully provoke and attack our away fans. I have no idea WHY they would ever do that, but in any case, the fight resulted in 3 injuries (2 psg, 1 dutch supporter)

Worse, however, was today during a CFA match between Red Star Paris and PSG reserves - a fight broke out between thirty to sixty fans from both sides. L'equipe reports that the old BB/Tigris rivalry resurfaced as a number of the disbanded Tigris Mystic also support Red Star, which is based in Seine Saint-Denis. The police, who got there after the incident, reported three light injuries.

I love how the Red Star and the press are blaming PSG for this according to lequipe.fr ... where is the common sense?

So the other day I finally got my disposable camera developed from my February trip to France back. Here are a couple of snapshots of PdP in the 4-2 win over Monaco that you might enjoy.

One has the Falco boys and their flares, moments before the smoke started filling up the upper deck, overwhelming the hundreds of people smoking cigarettes.

The other, if you look close enough, shows the gigantic scarfs they unfurl. It was my first time to Paris and I had never been to a sporting event as loud and as festive as this game. Aaah, Paris.

Friends,

I am a football fanatic coming to Paris hoping to see PSG vs. Nice in April. I want to experience the amazing PSG energy. I have NO idea where to go for tickets....any recommendations? Where should we sit to enjoy the fever.

Cheers,

Tickets for PSG-OGC Nice will be available one month before the game.

If you want to enjoy the fever, take a sit in A or K.

I'm surprised no one has talked about the Boulogne Boys which will no longer be existing.

A sad day in PSG supporters history...

I just found out this morning. Are you being sarcastic or serious? I would think that getting rid of one of the most racist and violent supporters clubs in the world would be universally supported.

I assume they won't be gone, just the group structure will be.

And won't they just form a new alternative group with the same members??

Since they were an official group I would think PSG has their names. When they apply for tickets through another group, I would think they'd be flagged.

Or this is all just a PR move and they will form another group and it will be business as usual.

BB is comprised of all kinds of folks...but you're right in that those reasonable among them tolerated something in thier midst that simply cannot be tolerated, period.

COMMUNIQUE
PSG – Auxerre (26 avril 2008)
