Sorry to be off topic once more but........but a reunited Pink Floyd (Waters, Gilmour, Wright, Mason) and The Who at the same event in Hyde Park is just UNBELIEVABLE. It's as good as seeing Arsenal winning the double. I'm almost breatless, just can't imagine Waters playing with the other Floyds again and at the same time Im terribly excited!!
The last time the 4 Floyds recorded something together was the same year Arsenal beat Man Utd in the FA Cup final! The end result was The Wall and the FA Cup, but events were full of drama. History repeats it self sometimes. :D
Comparing the Live 8 line ups across the world, well the London gig looks far superior. Where are the Boss, Green Day, Pearl Jam, let alone classic oldies such as Lou Reed and Neil Young? They should all be in Philadelphia. So I feel a bit sorry for the US audience.
Anybody going to any Live 8 event?

I wish I could...saw they are getting pissed at people selling tickets on eBay though. If I had tickets I would consider it (but could not miss a how that good) but you can make a lot of cash of them.

I have been invited to a party and can't go either. I do feel its sick that some people are selling their tickets for more than £2000, when the point of this excersice is to prevent 30000 people dying everyday. But let's hope the leaders will listen and help the poor countries.
Meanwhile Im getting more and more excited about watching The Who and the classic line up of Pink Floyd. Incredible!

I live in Philadelphia, so I'm going seeing as how its free. Or at least I'll try to get there and hopefully make it through the throngs of people. I'd love to see the Boss as well, but they keep telling us that the lineups aren't finalised. I wouldn't mind going to the Edinburgh show to see Travis a few days later as well.

I live near Philly and was planning on going until I saw the lineup. The only thing that will save the Philly show for me is if the rumors about the Stones and Springsteen come through.

I personally would like to see more "African Related" artists....maybe an Orchestra Baobob....a Burning Spear, Stevie Wonder perhaps....at least at the States venue. Philly is the weak link fo' sure

I know in Philly it's free. Is there tickets in other cities??
July 2nd is Live 8 (FREE) and July 4th is Elton John (FREE) both on the Ben Franklin Parkway in front of the Art Museum. Philly is going to rock out with it's cock out.
