Just wonder if anyone here heard Ray Hudson on the Elliott in the Morning show on DC101 this morning? Those two definately seem to click! Anyway, Ray was talking about doing some traveling to Holland, Poland and Argentina looking for some new talent. He specifically mentioned Argentina and that there is someone there he really wants to look at. Any ideas as to who that would be? Anyway, just wondering if anyone else listened this morning???

Yes, I was listening and that was a lot of what he said. He also mentioned that he needs Moreno and Tino to step up next year as our defense was fine this year but our attack was weak. Attacking players is what he is looking for during the off-season.

Ray mentioned Jaime specifically when asked about dissapointments, but attributed that to injuries and trying to get fit.

Elliot suggested getting Beckham if Ray was looking for a talented player.

Man, we gotta make a point of getting Elliot to a game. If he's still working here next season, I'm gonna make it a personal mission to get him to a Barra tailgate and game.

And one HUGE step forward for Elliot:

He did not refer to the team as THE United, as he has in the past.

I noticed that too, I guess that means Moreno is back next year.

i heard Hudson this morning, it sounds great that he may be travelling to Europe or South America to find us a great striker. Anyone heard anything else about David Ginola coming over? I sure hope not, he is way over the hill. Am i correct that Diaz Arce plays Aguila? Did I hear Hudson say that this morning? I thought he was in the A-League where he belongs.
CHEERS!

Weeknights 7 - 11pm on 106.7 fm. They ruled that timeslot and Infinity wanted them to take on Elliot.

They're homegrown talent from PG county, the nicest and funniest guys possible. I was a hardcore 4 hour a night listener and still will be.

The Sports Junkies have been on 106.7 WJFK in the evenings around 7:30 on. They're local guys(Bowie,MD) I believe. They're pretty funny. I don't know if their act will translate well to AM drive time.

The Junks will die a slow painful death unfortunately! I loved them at 7 P.M. It's not the same now. Plus, they play music now and are loaded with commercials. Oh well! Cest la vie! Now that we're done with that, let's get back to the topic of DCU!!!!

Knowing Ray, Ariel Ortega...if only they can make a deal. [Hudson in accent]he's a classy player and it's just a hope now, like a drowning man looking for that faintest bit of hope, real pie-in-the-sky-stuff, but that little donkey can really get the job done[/Hudson in accent]

Or maybe Mario Gori

If he was looking for Mario, he wouldn't be going to Argentina. I think he's still here in the A-League. As far as Ortega's concerned, La Brujita can play here anytime. He's still got game.

I don't think this was a good move. I though they had a pretty good deal on in the evenings. Syndication, short commericials, sports themed show. Could hurt Elliot's ratings some though.

Do I really need to put a smiley face after suggesting that RH might be going to Argentina to sign Gori?

Do I?

Hey, I like Gori. If I had to pick between Lassiter, Alavanja and even Chino, I'd say sign Mario NOW. :)
That dude is pure heart.

Argentina is loaded with great young talent. Del'Assandro, Riquelme, Saviola.....
The Argentine coach in the World Cup caught it hard in the press for leaving them at home. Anyone of those three in a United kit would be incredible. Sadly, I'm sure they are all way out of our price range.

I believe of those three, Chico, only Del'Assandro is playing in the Argentine clausura. (But boy does he play well!!).
