1. More time on TV -- increase group awareness, will allow us to display messages though signs and banners on camera
2. Get away from the endless Crew Groove white-noise
3. Increased interaction with already existing East side supporters sections

Zipster - scratch out your number two reason - We got something planned that's going to take down Crew Groove. You just wait and see, buddy.

Why would V-Army move?
More TV time aka more time for security to MAKE SURE we're not doing anything. Do you actually think we could get away with much of anything if we were anywhere near the cameras on a constant basis?
this was actually considered a while ago, but Crew nixed it quickly. The only disadvantages I can think of are increased ticket prices, and increased usher interactivity. The exchanges will only go up between v-army and ushers if you move out of 137 to where there are more people.

Honestly at this point what are you getting away with? To the best of my knowledge 137 inhabitants have essentially given in to all FO requests.
Also if being drowned out is a concern, wouldn't being that close to the scoreboard be a concern?

hmm, at this point, i'd rather take scoreboard than Crew Groove. The problem with Section 110 is that visiting fans take 113. If we'd ever move to the sideline, the best place would be right in front of the press box. Away from Crew Groove, the scoreboard, and the occasional visting fan. We could go bench-side for a 90 minute rendition of "we know exactly why we suck", but it'd better to be far side.
OTOH, Crew Groove said they'd move around during the game. Perhaps now's the time to show us that they mean it. Hell, as I suggested during the game, they beloing at the bottom of the tunnel. Call them Wrecking Crew II.

They told us to curb the swearing. AFAIK, we still have yet to do that. Especially given the first 10-15 minutes of the last match.

WTF is up with my fellow Crew fans not being able to condense all of what they want to say into one post? Just saying.
As for V-Army following what the FO wants. I have no clue. I've never talked to the FO, so I know, I personally do what I want and say what I want.
This brings me to what I've been thinking about since Saturday. I doubt I'll be in 137 much the next few matches. I'm thinking it'll be better to be scattered if I'm going to be carrying through with more Anti-Greg stuff. Security knows we've come from there, it's pretty obvious when there are pieces of pink lying throughout 137, but no where else in the stadium.

In response to why I posted this, I just wanted to spark the discussion again. I know that 137 is our home and that it's our home for a variety of reasons, not the least of which include tradition. We've also been awarded with some deference to stand and have the whole section declared general admission.
I also think it might be nice to try one game swear-free in 110 and see how that goes.
I do not think proximity to away fans matters at any non-chicago game.

Did the Legion kids put you up to this?
Even when Chicago travels, I don't think it's much of an issue. It seems that every year they bring less and less.
So swearing hasn't been given up? It seemed that it had all but been eradicated.

From what I'm hearing they'll be bringing a quite large group come Sept.

Aye, we're going to need support come September.

We're going to need a miracle.
My guess is you'll be averaging below 9k by September.

I'll see what I can do the next time I talk to the Big Guy.
The attendence problems aren't going to go away just because Anclueless has been fired. I think the rot might be here perpetually.

My comment was directed at Jon's "we're going to need a miracle comment"..
As for attendance, it's the FO's fault. Not only does Greg need the old kick out the door, I'd wager that most of them do as well. I mean, how hard is it to get word out about these matches? If I had a job there, I'd be on the bloody ****ing streets of Columbus and on every campus and soccer field in a 30 mile radius, giving people free s***. Attendence is crap right now, and they've got to start taking action now.
