I think we need to get a new 1st string goalkeeper.

Keller was really lucky on some of those saves. He gave up very dangerous rebounds, and against a better team like England or Liverpool those all would have been the most amazingly spectacular follow-up shots. Keller does not perform well in big games, and yesterday proved it.

Keller flatters to decieve. Remember that big game against Germany in '98 -- Keller totally should have been between Burns and the goalpost.

I'm sorry Chad, I'm not around here enough and don't know you well enough to know if you're being sarcastic. Please help me.

Yeah. But I need to amend my earlier post. Not everyone on Liverpool would have put those sitter rebounds away - Kewell wouldn't have.

I super totally agree chad. I think unless we get a few younger keepers in the mix like Guzan & Countess, we're going to be faced with Keller getting injured over the next year and having to rely on the shaky performances from Twitch Howard, Puddin' Thornton and Johnny Walker

I agree with this, but for now, and for qualifying right now, Keller's the best we got so that's who we got to go with, and he did a very good job yesterday. Yesterday could've been 1-1 instead of 3-0 very easily and Keller was solid when he needed to be.

Keller is the man right now. He got lucky with the deflection that went right to the US defender, but the other saves were magnificent. The save of the header that was basically behind was perfect, he knocked it wide enough in that situation that it could not be followed up. The thing about Keller is that he makes everything look easy so you can't really grasp how good he is.

Behind him.. well, a lot of untested talent. Howard, Hannehman, Cannon, Hartman... they all are good. I think the goalkeeper position is solid for the US, it's the defense that needs settled. And, another bonus for Keller, he seems to be pretty good at organizing an unorganized defense. The younger keepers may not be able to do that.

I agree Keller most go. We must find a keeper that has hair. I mean come on Keller, Howard, Friedel, Hahnneman, and Busch. There's got to be someone, anyone out there that can do a better job with a full set of hair. I'm beginning to the think this is some sort of conspiracy theory to freeze out the full-haired keepers. I demand as investigation, now.
