Live w/Bruce start for NATs (Convey)

How in the f#@k could Convey start over Dempsey unless Bruce has a soft spot on boys who have lived with him? Dempsey should be in the middle and Beasley (our best winger) should be on the left side. Dempsey is probally MVP of the MLS right now and SCORED vs England. He has a nose for goal and is very athletic. Beasley is better winger than Convey therefore there is no way Convey should be on the field. I am disgusted w/ Bruce.

PS I don't hate Convey. He will be a success one day but Clint is much better.
PSS Hell he could play forward in replace of Wolff.

For a guy who has a reputation as a bad crosser, he sure put that one right on the money. McBride made a helluva play to get the head on it too.

I don't see what the big deal is, he played well. Yes he's played on a reserve team for the past couple months but he played pretty well tonight. He didn't kill himself, he didn't kill the team, he didn't do anything stupid. B!tch and moan all you want about Bobby there are somethings people are gonna have to come to terms with

1. he's on the team
2. he can play
3. he can play well
4. he'll probably be on the team for awhile and if he plays well for the rest of the summer he probably will be starting at reading and you very well may see him playing and starting with the national team as well, deal with it

Convey lived with Kevin Payne, not Bruce Arena. If you're going to bash the poor boy, at least have the facts correct.

I thought Convey had a very good game.

He megged someone and lost it out of bounds. Passed an easy ball out of bounds. Was in good defensive position many times. He was OK.

Dempsey played for 5 minutes. He ran at someone from 40 yds out and was unable to beat player (Donovan & DMB are only other players who can do that.). Almost scored from a Donovan pass that went to McBride for a goal.

The team won 3 to 0 so I hate to complain. However, the team would have been better served w/ DMB on the outside and Clint in the middle.

Convey is a true left winger able to shift back to left back. Dempsey is a true central midfielder who is better the closer he gets towards goal. It wasn't a choice between Convey and Dempsey.

God forbid the man plays well one week, works hard in practice, and plays again another week. Maybe because Convey hardly ever back passes and Dempsey always back passes that slows down our speed of play. So you don't think Convey did pretty well today?
