i saw the game, it was like the euro 2004 game, only it was portugal defending this time, i only saw the last 20 minutes though, but from what i saw portual were more organised in defence than we were in attack, england had players missing as did portugal, i don't think this result means anything anyway

p.s what is this tournament for????, is it prestigous??, i heard that it was taken very seriously in portugal (not to patronise, i'm asking this seriously)

England were on top in the first half but didn't have any of their first choice strikers in this squad and couldn't get a goal. David Nugent of Preston was the lone striker. In the second half Portugal did a better job in midfield and Peter Taylor's subs weren't great.

I don't know how prestigous it really is but the tourney has been around for awhile from what I hear. The Portuguese media does cover the games (but they always do anyway) To us it's more aboutr seeing how good Vaz Te and Cicero do as our current strikers are pretty garbage.

we beat s.korea and we are now in the semis, but unfortuneatly we have to play france who are supposedly the best team in the tournament.
