The blame for the loss of two points against Wolfsburg and the loss of a point against Schalke can be placed squarely on Metzelder's shoulders.

I've been telling these guys since I've come back to BigSoccer not to expect too much from Metzelder. He's just not the same anymore.

No one listened and I suppose no one is watching because right now, he's worse than he was after he came back last season.

He has to get his confidence back. I don't think he trusts that achilles yet........

I'm not saying he should play, but wouldn't you nominate Metzelder for Klinsmann's fitness test? I think you misunderstood me since I was refering to the last and the next fitness test.

I really think Jansen is at home on the left wing. That's where he played for the most part during the U-21 and World Youth Championships and he did very well there.
Friedrich is a very good RB, and when he isn't playing well Hinkel should fill in there.

I'm sold on Jansen now...he can be amazing.

I think Klose is a better complementary player to Poldi than Kuranyi, he's a better passer and header IMO.

Lincoln could be a weapon if he qualifies to be in German NT...he's definitely better than at least Borowski, Engelhardt and Owomoyela.

Defense worries me....for once it will be our weak spot. Hopefully someone will step up this year.

I hate the attitudes of some of teh Schalke players (like Lincoln, Kuranyi, Ailton) of the past few years. I didn't like them before but now I hate them even more than Bayern... they are now #2 behind the Yankees :mad:

Schalke is my club's natural rival and it's hard for me to say that. Schalke has never benefitted from blatant favoritism or gotten away with openly breaking rules.......

I'm a bit young and have not covered the Bundesliga as long as you have, and thus I guess I can't say I can be as mad as you are about that.
