In fact, the angle this was always shown from made it look much worse than it was. Kahn was something like 3 meters apart from the Dortmund player.
Right, but maybe the referee just didn't see it? There's no way a ref wouldn't have acted if he had seen this. It's not like Kahn has never been sent-off before.
I don't recall the Fredi Bobic indicent, but Kahn should have been sent off after the Klose nose incident.
It's not Kahn's fault that some referees seem to get intimidated by his presence - but most importantly, this has less to do with Bayern then more with Kahn. These accusations that Bayern players are treated specially are just not true. Many a Bayern player has been sent off in recent years (not always justified), that's why this "the club he plays for" argument is misleading. I admit Kahn has been lucky more than once, but that's got more to do with who Kahn is and not the club he plays for.
The "Kung Fu Gorilla" react sometimes harder than allowed.
But there was another one, Toni S.. He had a little crash with a french player.

Only because Chapuisat didn't want to eat Kahn's boot.
Kahn trying to bite Heiko Herrlich:
Back then, he hadn't. And when are all these times you keep talking about Kahn being sent off??
The last time I saw him get sent off for anything was that "volleyball goal" he punched in the Rostock net a couple seasons ago. How many times has he been sent off since??
You sure you aren't thinking of Jens Lehmann?
Agree. He should have been sent off for the way he grabbed Bdraric too.
There's no "luck" in it. I agree to disagree with you. This "argument" can go around in circles forever, tit for tat. I don't think either one of us has the time. :)
Ok he's a hard fighter, but don`t understand why he never try that with Ailton, Wörns, Poulsen, Barbarez, Hajto or other cool players.
I think they where very amused about this - and discuss with Kahn in hospital. Where might he lie.

Hey arthur.. Merkwurdichliebe
the liebe part I get...Merkwurdich??? Was ist das?? Ze Germans are ZOOOOO crazy with their compounds.
and that's why we love you guys..I don't care what the English, Italians, French, Dutch, Polish say. Hey you guys are surrounded!!! :)
Here is my favorite german compound word... Kopfkissen.
Kopfkissen is a good one, especially at this time of the day.
Merk-wuerdig come from Note-worthy, but has changed the meaning slightly. It just means Strange now, as in Strangelove. I think it's more odd than strange... not sure.
PS The Dutch love us really. Some of them anyway, and I don't mind about the others. :)

Meinst Du wirklich Kahn beisst nur die Warmduscher? Kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. Wenn er rot sieht, beisst er doch alles, was sich bewegt.
Anyway it got better now. He only bites people if he's really hungry.

When is the wedding? and where? on the border? :p
I married a lovely girl who was found on the streets of Seoul Korea at the ripe old age of 2. Transferred to an orphanage. adopted by wonderful Minnesotans
See..we are breaking down those barriers!

Next year, in Germany where I was born. She thinks it's a very beautiful place... who am I to protest.
I also think it's great that borders are becoming less meaningful. I am just a tiny little bit worried about the football team my future son is going to support... but then again it might also be fun to support two different teams, I quite enjoy arguing with my Dutch girl about football anyway.

Where were you born? If I may ask?
I hope it is before the Cup...you know..those pesky in-laws.
Put subliminal messages on some music when he is in his crib. Say stuff like 54, Rahn, Walter, Netzer, sweeper, never surrender, 90, 88 was a fluke, etc...

In the beautiful picturesque but slightly boring town of Marburg in Hessen. Well worth a visit if you are ever over there. It's so insignificant that it was never bombed and the city centre is like it was in 1500... almost.
I think I have the edge anyway as I know far more about football than anyone in her family. They can teach him about horseriding and iceskating, if they want.

Funny, you can actually see my parents' house. It's just next to the castle on the left, on the top of the hill.
Edit: I am wrong: it's just out of the picture.

The university library in Marburg is very ugly... but apparently quite big. I used to get books from the Amerikahaus.. an English library which is quite good. That's also where I watched 'To Kill a Mockingbird' for the first time, another great movie.

She stopped reminding me of 88 when I told her that we don't consider Euros important in Germany.. ahem. Well we don't really.
Anyway she's also a crazy scientist working at the Sanger institute in Cambridge.

Atticus Finch was listed as AFI's(American Film Institute) number 1 hero from the movies. Great character.
How can a town like that have an ugly library??? Amerikahaus? Who is is/was it run by?
We are having "Deutsche Tage" here next weekend here in St. Paul.
Just a little festival of sorts
I will have to check out the dirndl action. :)
