Kahn should have been sent off for grabbing Brdaric the way he did, but of course, Kahn being who he is and playing for who he plays for, nothing happened to him.
So you're trying to say that Bayern players don't get sent-off because they play for Bayern? How does that comply with the fact that numerous Bayern players have been sent-off in recent years? (including Kahn, btw)

Hanke should get this spot.
Hanke is already in the team for the Confederations Cup, and is moving to Wolfsburg...

That's not what I'm trying to say. That's what you said. What I said pertained to that incident and that incident only.

Then he did a song about it! :/
And now he's going to sing in a musical!

I've seen a special about him on DSF...you know, some kind of homestory.
All i remeber is that he turned to the camera and says with his high feeble voice: "Now i'm gonna play the piano for you." He is really weird.

During a season there are numerous incidents where a player should have been sent off but wasn't. It happens with all clubs. Think about Robert Enke's attack against Rostock's di Salvo earlier this year - a certain red card, but he didn't even get a yellow one. Nobody would state that Enke was spared that fate because of who he was and what club he played for (Hannover). Imo, Kahn not having been sent off after the Brdaric incident cannot necessarily be traced back to who he was and what club he played for.

Kahn has a history of unpunished violent conduct.
He should have got a yellow for his little rampage against Klose ealier this season, and earlier in his career he went up to catch a ball and just about kicked the hell out of the striker in front of him. That should have been a red for violent conduct, but it wasn't.

That striker he almost kung-fu kicked was Stephane Chapuisat of Borussia Dortmund. Had Chappi not stepped aside, Kahn's foot would have taken his head off. Violent conduct if I ever saw it. Kahn got nothing.
The very next season, Kahn attempted to bite Dortmund's Heiko Herrlich. Caught plain as day on camera. Again, nothing happened.
A couple of seasons later, Kahn went after Fredi Bobic in a match that any other player would have been sent off for. Again, nothing.
Then as you said, there were the incidents with Brdaric and Klose.
"Shutoutj", don't forget that as far as some Bayern fans are concerned, none of this is true. We are just "jealous" of them. LOL!! :D

I don't know why everyone else hates Brdaric, but that's why I do.......
I hate the way he talks, I hate his face and I think he sucks at football.

Tell us how you really feel. Sidenote here.
As most of you know, I am a librarian, But I also work at a used bookstore on Saturdays. This last weekend two "soccer" books come in
One was on the WC 82, auf deutsch, by Beckenbauer (like he actually wrote this thing) and C. Bertelsmann. Anyway, some great photos including the 82 German Nationalmannschaft. Oh man.... mustaches and mullets. I never realised that Felix Magath had hair :). I will try and post some of these photos if I ever have enough time. Second book is just stuff on football from around the world, pictures and all. There is a photo w/ Beckenbauer (NY Cosmos days) running out on to the pitch through a line of cheerleaders in ugly yellow outfits. Pretty funny!

In fact, the angle this was always shown from made it look much worse than it was. Kahn was something like 3 meters apart from the Dortmund player.

Right, but maybe the referee just didn't see it? There's no way a ref wouldn't have acted if he had seen this. It's not like Kahn has never been sent-off before.

I don't recall the Fredi Bobic indicent, but Kahn should have been sent off after the Klose nose incident.
It's not Kahn's fault that some referees seem to get intimidated by his presence - but most importantly, this has less to do with Bayern then more with Kahn. These accusations that Bayern players are treated specially are just not true. Many a Bayern player has been sent off in recent years (not always justified), that's why this "the club he plays for" argument is misleading. I admit Kahn has been lucky more than once, but that's got more to do with who Kahn is and not the club he plays for.

You should check out Paul Breitner's book on the 1982 World Cup. Very interesting and blunt and he wrote it himself.

Only because Chapuisat didn't want to eat Kahn's boot.
Kahn trying to bite Heiko Herrlich:

Back then, he hadn't. And when are all these times you keep talking about Kahn being sent off??
The last time I saw him get sent off for anything was that "volleyball goal" he punched in the Rostock net a couple seasons ago. How many times has he been sent off since??
You sure you aren't thinking of Jens Lehmann?
I don't recall the Fredi Bobic indicent, but Kahn should have been sent off after the Klose nose incident.
Agree. He should have been sent off for the way he grabbed Bdraric too.

There's no "luck" in it. I agree to disagree with you. This "argument" can go around in circles forever, tit for tat. I don't think either one of us has the time. :)

Nothing to do with Bayern??
Schwalbihamidzic did not get this name without a purpose, he can foul players etc and his opponent gets sent off etc..
