Probably the gaming business

Huh? Rank as in league placing? Or the size of the club?

They finished third this season and are considered the biggest club in England.

that biggest club in england depends on who you speak too .They are no the most successful club in england ,they are not the richest with chelsea now on the scene and they finished without a trophy this season .

They still have the largest fan base in the world as well as the biggest turn over, Which makes them the biggest.

Big club is just each persons single opinion on what a big club is,NO ONE is correct.

For me a big club is a team who has won a lot of domestic title and european titles.

For me in England,Liverpool are the biggest club.

Their rank:

POW.

Currently being held in detention by an American, the last known location of Man U was in Guantanamo Bay where, among other things, a home jersey was flushed down the toilet, causing violent and lethal protests by supporters in the Merseyside and Manchester itself...

ok, that was low.

Liverpool haven't been the country's champions for what 15 years now? They aren't even in contention. How can they be the biggest in the country.

They aren't the best supported, richest, don't have the biggest stadium. etc.

biggest he means in that we have still won more than anyone else in england including manchester united ,we have 18 titles and now 5 european cups which is our most recent achievment ,man U won nothing this year so technically we have been more successful this year than them.

there are different definistions of what makes a big club so we can all argue for our own team ,liverpool are still the most successful english side and the idea of a football club is to win things ,money comes second .

Like i said, all about opinions, for me being the richest club does not make you the biggest,Chelsea are not a big club, just because some £14 Billion pound russian comes along to make them rich does not make them big imo, anyone can have money at some point in time,if he took over Accrington Stanley they are not exactly going to become big all of a sudden,Chelsea have won 1 League title in the last 49 years.Liverpool a lot more to put it easy,i measure success of the clubs enitre history, for example real madrid won 5 of their 9 European cups in the first 5 European comps in 1950's,people still respect them for being 9 times holders and one of the best clubs in the world even though it was mainly won in 1950.Best supported for me is fans who will stick with you through thick and thin, now im telling you now that Liverpool have more of this type of support than day trippers that go to Manchester United,Manchester United have the biggest stadium but give it a few seasons when they go the same way as Leeds with all the debt and it will be less than 30,000 attending. Also this would obviously make them probaly the poorest in terms of debt in the World.

However when they go down hill they still have their history that will still make them a big cluib.

Hahahahahahaha, Oh Lord.

Here's a history lesson for you. Back a few decades back when United were relegated to the old Division 2, they had that season the highest attendence in the country, higher than Liverpool who were between stringing constant back-to-back Championships.

United sell out 67000 for Carling Cup games vs 'League 1' sides.

United always have and always will have the best support in the country.

History being the key word !

Back then the working man could afford to attend the match. Now it is full of southern rich folk who have come to see the "show" not support the team.

This showed recently when Man Utd lost the last home game to Chelsea and on their final home game when they do the last match prade around the pitch their was about 8000 fans left in a 67000 seater stadium ! :D

Half of them were the Chelsea fans who had been locked in too, even as a non Man Utd fan you had to feel embarrassed for Fergie and his squad walking around a empty stadium on their last home game of the season because the southern fans and prawn sandwich eaters had not seen a good show ! :D

Man Utd fans the best in the country, get a grip !

Most of the red army and ‘proper’ fans attend away games a lot more since its harder to get tickets at OT. If the day trippers stopped coming I’m sure they’d be very happy since the working class could get in more. We’d still get a full stadium just like we did at the lowest ebb of the clubs history.

So? The actual game attendance was the usual sell out. United showed no fight or desire in that game and it’s perfectly within order to show our dissatisfaction at the performance. We don’t boo our players like Liverpool in a Champions league final, or the Geordies their own player in an England game.

Haha. Aye. We just fill our stadium more.

Liverpool might be the biggest club in the country when they are actually the best team in merseyside again.
