Just because Germanys hosting this event doesn't mean their going to win it!
I mean come on your going against Argentina and you still have to get past Brazil no matter how you look at it, I myself am a Mexico fan I know that we will have our hands full but the challenge is what is exciting!! :D

For those 34% of u who believe that the cup is meaningless, perhaps when your countries get invited you will not think so. Dont be jealous just cuz we are better! :p
This cup serves no purpose. The world cup decides the champion of the world, the tournaments of each confederation (Euro's, Copa America etc) determine the champion of each confederation, there is no need for another tournament.
Believe me, if England were invited into this cup, I would personally be campaigning for them to reject the invitation, or at the very least send out an experimental side with only young players or those who haven't played much and could do with some practice games. I would much prefer the full England team rest rather than take part in this meaningless cup.
Blatter fills the football calendar with pointless tournament after pointless tournament, and then has the temerity to demand that the EPL cut down the number of teams because 'players are playing too many games'!!!

Greece will win. its their last chance for a slow dance at the winner's podium. esp. since they're not going to germany 06'. and w/other teams missing some players their defense will get some relief.
How does this ignorant dummy know that Greece wont make Germany 2006. Has this ferry even looked at the latest standings. Wow, I cant believe how dumb some people are to say things as if they are 100% sure.
As for this conf cup, I'm sure a lot of teams wont have theyre best players playing, so than yes, its a meaningless cup.......

Oh, i don't expect Germany to win it, but i think the chance that Mexico will even get to the second round is smaller than the chance of Germany winning it. This is just my opinion, and i'll admit that i haven't seen you guys play since the World Cup but, nonetheless, the voting seems a little off the mark...

Are argentina going to send u-23 squad ?Sounds like an urban myth or some-one is setting up an excuse in advance, in case they don't do well !!! :o Wow, the Argies are employing English tactics !!!! :p
If they do this, then they deserve to get booted out of the Confederations Cup by FIFA for being short-sighted & disrespectful (as they represent CONMEBOL as the champion of the Confederation).
Perhaps they should send their u17 school-girls instead. Maradonna could play up front for them. :D

Brazil will always be the favorite in any major tournament,
Argentina should be second favorite.
